Awesome spotting! I flew into ORD on the 21st (but on an AA ERJ-145), I do remember seeing the China Airlines Cargo lol. Will probably upload a trip report of that flight.
I enjoy watching these jets take off (especially heavies) every other minute or so. I work across the street from the south of O’Hare airfield (Seymour and Irving Park Rd @ DSV)
I'm pretty sure AAL2080 was actually 2 hours and 18 minutes of flying time. (Chicago time is actually one hour behind the departure time in Charlotte.)
So I plan on going to DTW to spot departures sometime during this week and I was wondering the busiest hours right now to spot them. Also when they are doing north to south flow I observed on FlightRadar24 they were using 22L a lot more than 21R. And correct me if I’m wrong but I think you usually spot 21R departures at DTW. Sorry for the long comment great video I love O’Hare!
It all depends on the day really. the day before, check Flightradar24 and see when there are downtimes. And yeah 22L reopened a couple weeks ago, so now traffic is split between the two. They still go to 21R/3L, but not as often as before. Have fun, and thanks!
The thing is - I live outside Milwaukee so it isn’t a rare occurrence to see the ORD- ANC flights. In fact I think I saw a China airlines 744 sometime this week! OH SHOOT I TOTALLY SAW THAT KOREAN AIR KPOP LIVERY
I would love to know where you were exactly for these views, I tried to find a good spot once but didn't find one, this is south of the airport I'm assuming. Thank you!
My guess is he’s with Ord airport watch which gives you very good access. For spotting I like the Schiller park metra station which gives you fantastic views of 28c landings or 10c departures.

Did you get a new camera? Or change settings? The sharpness, color-space, and overall quality seems better than some of your other recent videos. Looks great!
Lepp Aviation it’s okay, I’ll use different footage for my voiceovers. I’m a really small youtuber and I credited you in my description and comments but I won’t use the footage anymore. Thanks!
Plane spotting these days must be so boring compared to back in the day e.g "Oh look an A320! Oh look a B738! Oh look another A320 and another and another and another Ooooo finally a B777!! ah dang it another A320" Compared to back in the day "Oh cool a 727! wooooow a 707 a 733 a DC-10!"
The CRJ-550 is not a new aircraft. United made it seem like it was with the marketing, but the -550 is just a retrofitted GoJet CRJ-700, so yes, most of them are upwards of 10 years old.
Oh, I just watch the video, I understand now! So it appears united made it seem like a new plane but it’s really a retrofitted CRJ 700. Thank you for your explanation sir
While it is owned by Mitsubishi, I decided to revert to calling the CRJs Bombardier. Mainly because Bombardier still has manufacturing rights. I now look at it as the MD-88/90. Because McDonnell Douglas was bought by Boeing, we still call them McDonnell Douglas, not the Boeing 88/90.

Wow, that A320 NEO is really quiet
I love watching planes takeoff and land!
You know, planes cause satisfaction to aviation lovers don’t they really do?
Excellent as always! Had such a great time hanging out with you and Mike. Great stuff and lets do it again soon.
Thanks Jay! It was great to finally meet you. Absolutely I will be back soon!
Not only did we see planes but some street drifting lol
Nice video. And cool 777 GE90 takeoffs
Great video mate! Good to see that ORD is also getting back to life again👍🏻
So relaxing to watch.
Awesome spotting! I flew into ORD on the 21st (but on an AA ERJ-145), I do remember seeing the China Airlines Cargo lol. Will probably upload a trip report of that flight.
Thouse Embraers are beautiful! Great vídeo, thanks!
Really nice video, glad to see some regional aircraft in the mix
I enjoy watching these jets take off (especially heavies) every other minute or so. I work across the street from the south of O’Hare airfield (Seymour and Irving Park Rd @ DSV)
I will go planespotting at ohare the next time i go there, it is the city i lived in for half my life. nice video though
Wait a while it’s pretty boring right now
I cannot say planes are beautiful because they are more than that!
8:52 Air Choice One ☝️. 🤣 i love the name ♥️♥️♥️
Ooh, nice spotting with the AX53! I think this is maybe the fifth or sixth plane spotter I’ve seen on TH-cam with this exact camera lol
JJ Skippy oh yeah! That camera is an absolute workhorse for spotters! I had the AX33 for years and this one is a complete night and day difference!
Why is there so many Chinese airliners and cargo landing and taking off to Anchorage
Good stuff. It's awesome that you were able to do a little spotting with Jay. :)
I'm pretty sure AAL2080 was actually 2 hours and 18 minutes of flying time. (Chicago time is actually one hour behind the departure time in Charlotte.)
Congratulations, fair video, beautiful planes great. 💙💙💙💙💙💙💙💙💙💙💙👋

Lepp Aviation thanks a lot!
Great video, I have been patiently waiting for it
I noticed at 15:16 in your pan shot, all the side-lined aircraft. Interesting.
9:00 gets random CESSENA
That is air choice one who operates to ord from small regional airports in the area
Very good video👍
The thing is - I live outside Milwaukee so it isn’t a rare occurrence to see the ORD- ANC flights. In fact I think I saw a China airlines 744 sometime this week!
OH SHOOT I TOTALLY SAW THAT KOREAN AIR KPOP LIVERY
The fresh smell of new videos
What spot did you planespot from?
Crazy how quiet those 787’s are.
Very good video
i really find the 787 the prettiest aircraft.
Really amazing video mate! Liked!
Why didn’t the Delta Connection apply reverse thrust at 4:30?
Pikawika 9 they don’t always use them
Sometimes with small jets like that the brakes are enough to stop it
I would love to know where you were exactly for these views, I tried to find a good spot once but didn't find one, this is south of the airport I'm assuming. Thank you!
Are you using midway
Amazing video MAN
This is awesome man..! The 747s are so Beautiful❤😍....
Thank you for this wonderful video
👍😍🤩
What location do you film at? I can never find good spotting locations at ORD.
Jonathan Rader probaly right outside of the airport?
My guess is he’s with Ord airport watch which gives you very good access. For spotting I like the Schiller park metra station which gives you fantastic views of 28c landings or 10c departures.
I know exactly where this was shot, in the cargo terminal right outside the Nippon Cargo building in that parking lot right up against the runway.
Did you use flight tracker 24
Anchorage is a hot spot for aircrafts?
half way to ASIA and needs for stopping breaks and refueling
Wow. A lot of research went into the making of this video. Well done!
Thanks for watching, I appreciate the support!
Lol it’s not hard u just use Flightradar24
Pretty presentation. Great video quality. Loved it.
Nice vid
Great video. Did you use tripod

Wait a minute, United is flying to Hong Kong again from Chicago? I thought they axed this route?
eidorian101 It’s only operating with cargo onboard
@@LeppAviation Ah okay! Thanks!
I also remember seeing Hainan flights to Shenzhen as well on Flightradar. I was like 'whaaaat?'.
Update: United is flying back to Hong Kong again in September!
Amazing airplane
Where is this spot and how do u get to it plz? I love plane spotting at ohare but my spot is absolute garbage. This is amazing.
My guess is he’s with Ord airport watch which gives you very good access. For spotting I like the Schiller park metra station which gives you fantastic views of 28c landings or 10c departures.
Great variety here 👍, regionals, medium haul and long haul
When you put "Age:" is that the years that the pilot has flown the plane? I feel like this is obvious but I still don't know.
The age refers to how long the airline has had it in its fleet, or how long since it has been delivered to a carrier.
Amazing Compilation. Fantastic shots
I think I was working at ORD that day that's the morning bank of UAL
Great catches as always!
I’m happy to see that aviation is picking up a little bit.
You and me both!
How do you know the ages of the airplanes
How!? I went to Ohare and there was nothing!
Hey, that's my home city airport!!! Thanks for plane spotting there! :)
blimey a grand caravan in a class bravo
Amazing shot mate. Cool spot!
Did you get a new camera? Or change settings? The sharpness, color-space, and overall quality seems better than some of your other recent videos. Looks great!
I appreciate that! Yes! I upgraded my camera to the successor to my old one. Couldn’t be happier!
@@LeppAviation Awesome! Yea, noticeably different for sure. Enjoy it and be safe!
I live right next to O’hare and It’s sad to see all those United Airlines planes just sitting there
Great Viideo. Thumbs up.
looks like a reverser failure on that delta connection e175
Robin Lawrence they don’t always use them
Sometimes they can only apply the brakes on smaller jets and it can slow down fine
Which runway was this
28C and 28R
Can I use this footage? I credited you
John I prefer to not have my videos used by other people. Nothing against you at all, that’s just my personal choice. My apologies!
Lepp Aviation it’s okay, I’ll use different footage for my voiceovers. I’m a really small youtuber and I credited you in my description and comments but I won’t use the footage anymore. Thanks!
A lot of the cargo planes to and from Alaska fly over my city.
777 back to back to back lucky ☘️☘️☘️
ORD is 777 paradise!
goodtime for plane spotting
first

i wanna go back to new orleans now ;(
Amazing video! Can you say hi to Jay O’Hare for me?
Lmao we used the same thumbnail
Haha I just now noticed that

I think you made a mistake. How could a CRJ 550 Be 11 years old?
The CRJ-550 is not a new aircraft. United made it seem like it was with the marketing, but the -550 is just a retrofitted GoJet CRJ-700, so yes, most of them are upwards of 10 years old.

That little Cesna is cute
UNU
not much UA mainline being operated these days domestically & you didn't call the CRJ-550 a mitsubishi
