I just cracked up at warning microwaves in use
when they do the scanning using the software, it is completely stupid because it doesn't take the pressure point into consideration while scanning the stump. if it uses the traditional casting taking and print it using the 3D printing technology then it would be make more sense. if you don't understand please check with prosthetist who is amputee. They know better.
I have a 3d printed socket that I use almost daily. I've had no issues and it makes a great water leg.
what type is material are u know? i have a 3d printer and i make the new socket for my little sis.
@@furkanozer7191 you probably don't have the correct material. Mine was printed by a place that makes their own and they're melted into filament from beads. Most filament will break under the torque you'll put on them.
@@eliotsajerkface what kind type of bead can u more explain?
@@furkanozer7191 look into prosthetic design th-cam.com/video/-hgnfgLCvc4/w-d-xo.html
They do the one I have.
@@eliotsajerkface really thank u soo much
I'm really surprised that they did no rectification. sockets made without that are always too loose and don't weigh bear probably.
could just print with Polycarbonate its a load bearing material capable of 500ib tensile strength
Please Explain
What kind of filament did y’all use
without taking the gravity into consideration, this system will definitely fail. Otherwise, the whole world will be using it. Do you agree? the shape of the stump is totally different between the sitting position and standing position.
How about if they printed it at a 90 degree angle, like print the socket facing down. So the printing layers would be vertical. Would it still crack as easily...?
It would require many support material and I think the socket experiment loads from all angles, so it would still be fragile, what I had found is a post-treatment like a resin bath to reinforce the socket layers
@@JavierD are u know what type a material are is using? sorry my english what type a 3d printer fialment material?
@@furkanozer7191 The one in the video they said it is nanomaterial carbon something, they do not make it clear. The public will have access to ABS
If the price was hundreds of thousands...
It shouldn't be cracked easily
old videos that are never up dated.
I need below knee prosthesis
Miss Alexander is my teacher in school
Different feet? No footshells?
Did they use the microwave technique/machines for those sockets?
gracias por recomendarme este video.
is there any locations in california
Me gusta mucho verte porque te veo muy bien parecida aunque no tengas piernas.
1:21 ...but we don't want or need to fix that because it's your own fault if you're poor amirite.
Please tell me price?
Pay attention man, they literally told us in the video! -_-
I need
Could it be less than hundreds of thousands?
If not then it is useless
Like, even though your legs are hosed, you're totally awesome. You go, girl!
