After 2 years, I finally decided to listen really deeply to Corey's verse, and WOW! Praise God! The whole song is about how what rappers glorify in their music isn't "cool".A lot of people think that smoking, drinking, and bragging about yourself is "cool" b/c it's in the music. This song is all about denouncing that.
Facts especially when Corey says "my old Man got murked for it/they pierced Him in His side" referring to Jesus who was pierced in His rib on the Cross
I would love to hear more from Alex Faith, Dre Murray and Corey Paul. I think you guy produce some really good albums. The whole production is so good...
The song has the artist's name and featuring artists but even reconcile is in the background even though he doesn't rap in the song. It's nice that other people also appeared in the music video.
For those who are saying this is secular (are it sounds secular) it actually isn't. Much like secular rap (or other genres) the song is telling a story, and what is said generally doesn't mean what was said, rather is referring to something or someone. In example: "No price tag for what we endorse" Paul is basically saying he's endorsing the gift of salvation, which happens to be free. There's no price tag, because such a gift is priceless. Hence not being able to "afford the freedom" He goes on to talk about how secular music is ruining the minds of those who listen to their songs "Money, Cars, Clothes, & *Girls* and how making profit this way is poor judgement, and can be life threatening. He also mentions Jesus a couple of times as well. IE. "My old man got worked for it" Meaning that he paid for it; He died for you, he even to a spear to the side for you. His mom made him go to church and praise him for the sacrifice he made. "My mom made me go to church for it, she put me in that choir" **All you have to do is really listen to what's being said, forget about the flow, the beat and all that for a second and just listen to what's being said and you might be able to hear what they're really saying.**
If I had a hair cut I would rock that juice/flat top like cory paul. I see that boy tadshi with that west coast pony tell, both equally dope! Btw, they killed it, especially tadashi and cory paul!!!!! I really dig this song!!!!
First of all his name isn't Tadshi..... Its Tedashii....lol but Tedashii is amazing and so are his spiritual and musical bro's in 116 Clique...check them out.... They are amazing.. #AndyMineo #Lecrae #TripLee #Tedashii #KB #DjOfficial = )
Corey Paul raps with Reconcile for the most part. They got some real straight songs. Check out Never would of made it. And they got a new one called Forty8 thats all the way there.
music is music as long as we try to give it its own genre the world won't give it a chance. we can't keep to ourselves the lost need to get the gospel somehow. yeah ain't that like a unnecessary battle the enemy wants us in is it secular or not let's pray for the day when it is secular
If you love cars there's nothing wrong with that Everyone loves something. I understand what you saying though. but technically everyone an idolater. Even God is jealous God. Beside if loving something is a sin, no one going to heaven... plus i think adding "holic" in this since doesn't mean he's addicted to cars but simply likes things that have to do with cars. So tone it down on the shade.
+hylo Unlimited actually sounds like rap that's Christian, but that's just my professional opinion as a musician. My mother when I was younger kinda threw me into certain things, first was the piano, then the singing, then I had to train my ears and brain to understand and really listen to the songs to get an understanding of the song. The point is to point out what secular noise does in its attempt to sound like music and how much it destroys the youth and also older folk. His other tracks also contain some messages to open the eyes of the world. Then he has tracks that actually talk about the only way to be free (Freedom) or even how God can use the weak and is merciful and always answers prayers and continues to be there for us even when we are in the world (Never Give Up). Those are just two examples won't go into details brah but I'm sure you get the point.
hylo Unlimited praise God that they packing that hope up j this song too bad some people have their ears turned off when it comes to hearing about God you guys
We need this ALEX FAITH back, praying for his soul
Bro I can't find him anywhere...I wanna tap in and work with him😭😭
Almost ten years later still go's hard
If there was any one Collision Records song to blast down the street, this would probably be it.
THAT COREY PAUL WAS THE ONE OF THE HARDEST VERSES FOR THE YEAR EASY!!!!!!

Great seeing Pyrexx and Dre and Reconcile showing support.

One of my fave jams on the album. Maybe it's just me but I dig the grittiness in hip hop. Christian hip hop always genuine
we despise wisdom glorify lies leading us to hell but we turn that track on high
Saw Dre Murray and Reconcile in the video. Song is awesome. The whole albums is amazing.
