I heard this song about 3 years ago. I was not a Christian at the time, but the Lord used this song to draw me to Himself. I saw something authentic in Lecrae. I could tell he used to be a thug but something had changed him. He was exalting Jesus and it attracted me somehow. The Scriptures say, "When the son of man is lifted up He will draw all men until Himself." (John 12:32) That's what I saw in Lecrae. He was exalting Jesus. I grew up in church but as I got older I become more and more cynical of the church. One day I sat in my living room listening to this song and the Lord instantly regenerated my heart. I was switched within an instant. Completely new desires. I know people are calling Lecrae's career into question, but he is being used by God. Don't do what I was doing, don't waste your life. Waste it for Jesus. I hope this encourages you to find purpose in Jesus alone.

My story is kinda sensitive but I'm 15 and I lived my whole life in sorrow and sadness because I've always struggled with self esteem issues, depression and bullying and one day I was tired of living in sadness and mental agony so I had a Bible my mom bought me a long time ago and I read it and I realized why I felt that there was always something missing in me. So I asked Jesus to come in my heart and save me and after that, I was never self conscious, my depression was cured, and the bullying stopped. I get bullied sometimes for my religion but God reminds me where I'm going when I die and I'm reassured and I follow Jesus even if others don't like it. I've been a Christian for almost 4 years now! Brandyn Allen I used to have the same issue with bad thoughts. I would pray that God would take them away but I still had them. It was later that I realized, God was taking bad thoughts out of my head for me, and I kept putting them back in with the stuff I watched and listened to. What goes in, comes back out.

He made me realize in the "Blessed up remix music video" that Christian music can sound good and the rap can actually have really good flow and then at the end with mike todd talking about purpose over money and papers, really hit me because at that time I was all about dreams, so the fact that a Christian! was talking about dreams, it really amused me. Then at the end of that religion class we had to find our own song and write something about it. At first Ibwas like, let's find some eminem, maybe the coffee for your head song. But then I'm like, you know what, it's not cringe to do an artist that I've already seen in this class. So I dropped my ego and looked at my favorite verse from those Christian music videos and it was lecrae ofc, so I lowkey searched up "Lecraes fastest verse" and this popped up. I'm like DANNNNNNNG, sheeesh, I did not expect him to go that fast. And I loved the message of the song. Man, since then I've been just drawn to Christ, a lil bit after that I started really getting on fire for God and was watching videos and learning and eventually in around may 2022, I put my faith in Jesus and its been a journey ever since, of doubt, depression, freedom, joy, purpose and dicipline and I am forever thankful to Jesus for taking my place on that cross for me and doing the impossible and resurrecting so I can be raised up. Literally my favorite song by him !! I used to play this over and over. It really showed how important God is in life and not only did it show that, it showed Lecrae’s raw talent flowing like a king. A lot of people don't like the way that crae has been going later but, he's just transitioning with the culture and trying to show people Christ in a different way, he's encouraged so many Christians that now he is going out into the secular world to save souls.
