You would probably have much better results offering to Fox Immortal Fairy 狐仙 Unfortunately Inari worship in english is kind of cursed due to a strong prexisting esoteric association of INRI (a christian thing) You don't need a shrine, just offer fragrance. They like lavender, dragon's blood, sandalwood, frankinscense in my experience. Leaving offerings for the foxes themselves is also a good way to gain favor ^^
