Very nice flight, very nice weather and a very good video. Well done Adam and Dan! Looking forward to the return trip if there is a video of that? Take care and stay safe.
Jodel Flyer thanks Tim. Great sharing the work load with Dan no return video as all my batteries were dead as I forgot to bring my European plug adapter to charge 🙈
Nice video, thanks for posting. To answer aid the ‘initial call’ confusion. CAP 413 Radiotelephony Manual, Section 3.28 states to include three items in the initial call; ATS unit name, Aircraft callsign, type of service / clearance / information requested. Keep up the good work and keep safe during these crazy times.
Hi guys great video, I’ve flown this a few time’s now, I thought the PA28 had retractable landing gear I did notice the front wheel was still down good luck Stu
This is great, i'm a filmmaker so really enjoyed the production but in my spare time i'm a 'pixel' pilot flying in MSFS2020 mainly in VR so I really like these videos which show rw pilots using radio comms and how they approach cross country flying. You're both excellent pilots to effortlessly fly across the pond, pick up ATC which in parts was hard to hear and have two very happy punters in the back. Great stuff! SUBBED!
Max Nash thank you and yes absolutely worth the planning and cost, but if you can share the cost even better. Shame about Wellesbourne but new base is closer to the coast!
That AI would have driven me up the wall. Would have had a bit of paper put over it straight away lol great flight though. Can't wait to get over there sometime in the future.
PPL Video Diary it was super quick will have to look at the actual time for you! We weren’t sure but I had to delay it before we took off by a hour so we think that might have been the reason.
Quick question, why did you undertake the flight with a faulty AI? You can see it bouncing all over the place and for a trip to Le Touquet where you could have encountered cloud, especially over the channel, I personally wouldn't have taken the risk. Granted an AI is not part of the VFR MEL but even still.
craig221081 it’s legal to fly with a faulty AI, and we know the aircraft rectifies it’s self after a while. I wouldn’t have entered cloud I don’t have a rating, plus the weather was CAVOK across the channel so all good. Thanks for watching 👍
Agreed, good video but that landing could've turned into a full scale PIO until it was thankfully saved (worth a TH-cam search) and I imagine the under-wing footage would've caught the nose oleo hard at work. As the song goes... you can always go around! Thanks for sharing.
Great video Adam! I’ve got two questions.. 1). What is the name of the restaurant where you had that “Pizza”? (clipped at the beginning) 2).What was the total flight time...? (I’m starving and can’t wait to get there 🍕👐🏻)
Sorry for the delayed response. I can't see the name on my bank statement it says Le New Jean2!? It was on the main drag, looked like a pub. Total flight time was approx 4 hours.
@@catabaticanabatic3800😂 You talk likes he’s entering cloud 5 secs after take off! Its VFR the AI is not even legally required. However crossing the channel with that thing is a risk as you can often get haze and loss of horizon.

Great video, I’m going to do my cross channel checkout soon and this video has me so excited. Nice one 👍🏽
Well done Dan. Great video as well.
Very impressive radio skills
Really enjoyed watching that thanks for sharing.
dogsbreath2 🤓☺️
Ah I love wellsbourne! Nice to see a familiar airfield on these kinds of videos:) would love to do this route
Do it!
Tremendous work guys!! Brings back memories. Great vid 🤩🤩🤩🤩
Thank you so much 😁 sorry for the delayed response

BlueLineSpeed thank you 👍. I did check that out a couple of days ago whilst editing.
Hi guys great video, I’ve flown this a few time’s now, I thought the PA28 had retractable landing gear I did notice the front wheel was still down good luck Stu
The gear is fixed on this aircraft however there are PA28s with retractable gear I believe.
Brilliant video
Thank you, sorry for the delayed response

Great video! Definitely a destination I’ll be heading after getting my PPL! Shame it won’t be from Wellesbourne anymore
Max Nash thank you and yes absolutely worth the planning and cost, but if you can share the cost even better. Shame about Wellesbourne but new base is closer to the coast!
Love it! Can’t wait to start crossing borders again (from the air that is)
Dutch Aviation Blog we shd all meet up!
Private Pilot Vlogs I agree! Let’s keep in touch about that 😎👍
Great video! Practically limited panel with that crazy AI!
thought I was the only one that noticed that!
Yeeeeh man. Just the content we need right now.
Ben Atkinson thanks dude 🤓❤️
Good video though. Clear images with crisp audio. Thanks for sharing 👍
Thank you
great video
Thank you
Well done for passing the ATPL!!!!! Also love the “you get what u pay for” loool couldn’t have said it better!! 😂😂😂😂👍🏽👍🏽👍🏽🤷🏽
RH & Co. IT Services thanks for watching, and I thought I’d leave that in there!! 😜💁♀️
I'll check it out tomorrow 😉
What's going on with your artificial horizon?
yer tailwind outbound what about a headwind inbound? was there much of one? thanks for up loading
The headwind on the return totally sucked!!
Nice Job and some slick radio there as well. Was that three landing fees there??? We all do it though.
Flying with Chris thank you Dan is a great pilot. It was €30. Fuel is quite expensive but worth the trip.

I got used to it but you are right, it was a bit of putting at first. Worth a trip over for sure.
Any thoughts about filing IFR to get seamless handoffs not to mention avoiding all the transits?
I don’t have an instrument rating
What was going on with your attitude indicator on climb out. Was all over the place
It was a known problem but it settles down later the flight so no problem. 👍
Another nice video Adam. With that ground speed, I’m guessing the crossing didn’t take much time at all. What was the issue with your flight plan?

Oscillation can quickly go wrong, you got lucky there.
Marc T on landing?

Whats wrong with the horizon
Was the AI tumbling about a bit there on take off ?
Catabatic Anabatic yeah it’s a problem we are aware of, it settles down after a while.
@@PrivatePilotFlightVlogs Brave of you. I wouldn't risk partial panel take off.

What’s it like flying into Le Touquet? Amazing video btw!
Flying Central amazing experience! Thank you. ☺️
Was that a porpoise? 🤔😏
Zero Three Delta are you referring to my landing dude!!? 🤪😱🙈
Private Pilot Vlogs No? 😁
Awesome vid, Adam! But what's up with your attitude indicator? Looks like he had one too many to drink, the evening before? 🤣
ForFunFlyer well spotted! For some reason in that aircraft it’s a bit weird at first but sorts it’s self out after a while. 😜
@@PrivatePilotFlightVlogs Ah, ok! 😋 Or replace it with a Garmin G5? 😉
ForFunFlyer yeah not sure the club have the cash at the mo! 🤪
@@PrivatePilotFlightVlogs Haha, ok... 😋
How did u manage to get 4 people into a Cherokee and not be overweight?
All in weight and balance. She’s a 180
If you still have the gpx I would be grateful as I would like to simulate the flight in Xplane. I can give you my email thanks Matt
Amazing video by the way
What’s GPX?
Matt Hurst thank you 👍👍
