Update: I ordered the parts from my appliance store yesterday. They came in today, and while I waited, I got the old felt off and cleaned up, and tidied up my venting situation. I was ready to glue the second I came home with my parts. I’m now drying my 2nd load of laundry, and my dryer will no longer grab and wreck my clothes. 😃
Great video, I'm glad it's a small piece to replace i saw mine had 2 broken plastics and thought it would be $$$$ to replace the whole felt around it. I'm pleased you showed the process as now I'm ready to fix and go.
thanks for this video. i followed it to fix mine but afterwards I have a different problem. I put it all back together and now there is a slight vibration in the whole unit. the plastic handle is making noise and so is one of the side panels, from a vibration that pervades the whole case. I can't figure out where it's coming from or what I did to cause this but it wasn't happening before. any ideas? thanks
I've had the same thing. Makes a groaning noise, sometimes can sense vibration. Now it's already time to replace the slides, but only one is badly worn, the one on the right. Drum is also not contacting the felt on the left side at 9 o'clock there's a gap. I'm gonna temp fix it and try some high temp grease this time until new part arrives. Gonna chech to cabinet is square. There has to be something causing this. You ever figure yours out? Thanks. Mine's a gas model if that matters.
Wow, outstanding tutorial! Thank you! I will try to replace mine tomorrow!
