Thank you. I have just got a Fiat 500 for my daughter. The DLR lights had been turned off from the menu as there was a warning light on the dash. There is no way my hands were going to fit in the hole to change the bulb. Whilst I didn’t have any skewers, I did have some scrap wood. A quick bit of whittling in the garage and bobs your uncle. It worked brilliantly.
So pleased to hear that. I guess the dealers probably have a tool that works in a similar way, as there is no way an adult could grab the bulb with thumb and finger.
@@happinessstan1 I had an added problem that I hadn’t pushed the bulb in far enough. It fell out of the holder inside the light! I had to fashion a tool to get it out. A pipe cleaner with a strong magnet taped to the end. Then I had to go fishing for the bulb. It worked though. Now to sort out the flashing mileage.
@@JerrySmiler1968 I've had the same in the past with dropping a bulb inside and solved it in the way you did. As for the flashing mileage, I had that a fortnight ago and discovered it was due to the battery not holding full charge. I fitted a new battery and haven't had the problem since. Hope that helps you.
@@happinessstan1that’s good to know. I think my problem is that the previous owner had a parasitic draw caused by a bad blue and me module. He removed the module and changed the radio to an aftermarket one. However, the car is now looking for the blue and me module. When it can’t find it, it makes the mileage flash. I need to carry out a proxy alignment and hopefully that will stop it.
lovely invention - should save time and prevent the wires from getting damaged, win win
brilliant .nothing like a man in his garage sorting a problem 🇬🇧🇬🇧

The best tools to use are your fingers. 😊
