@garyjay7259 Yeah they do have limited energy reserves and revive bugs. Goku needed to take one after Tamagami 1 which tells me using Kamehameha at full power was taxing to his ki reserved at the time. Being Kids is holding them back in terms of output.

Last episode, Goku received a powerful electric shock and lost consciousness after touching the magical barrier. It is obvious that these weapons operate on the same principles. We have seen Goku in god forms dying to a simple laser in Super. Goku and Vegeta struggling a bit to magic weapons in Daima shouldn't be a big deal imo.
The stuff about the power of their weapons should've been established from the first time Goku fought the soldiers - which he didn't have much problem defeating - I still enjoy the show, though, yeah, but the writing has its flaws..
@@DuendeTortuga It would be way more impactful if the first few skirmishes weren't child's play for Goku but an established threat of the ray guns where he would be forced to Escape from most encounters when outnumbered.

"Hey Degesu, good job getting the Third Eye." "What?" "That was a good disguise you did back there. Could've fooled me" "What disguise? Hybis didn't have the belt when I found him." Goma and Degesu stare at each other
@synthellaart1587It would be but I don't think that really holds up. She clearly approached Hybis with the intent to seduce him and did so during a dangerous battle. It's still possible but she didn't seem like she didn't know what she was doing to me.
My three favorite moments in this episode: King Kadan and his forces coming in as reinforcement. Vegeta genuinely smiling at them coming to help them out in battle. Panzy and Kadan teaming up with a great father/daughter moment.
this episode just reminded me of when Goku attacked the Red Ribbon Army base back in the day. I feel like Toriyama just made this series to relive this glory days and drop in some new lore bits. still being Toriyama with gags and jokes as the theme song says.
Absolutely. This series is a love letter to what OG dragonball was initially imagined. Even before the red army... early early dragon ball was more comedy/light hearted. As I heard somewhere, this should be compared to the Pilaf arc as opposed to others
So, having only recently purchased a Cruchyroll subscription and started watching through the original Dragonball, I've tuned in to a few of these reviews to see if Daima might also be worth checking out at some point. I've always been awful at avoiding spoilers anyway. And yes, given that I first watched Z on Toonami more than 20 years ago, I realize this makes me a truly filthy casual. In fairness, you yourself have pointed out in the past how rough this franchise is if you're a Yamcha fan. But you've obviously been a very dedicated and passionate fan for a long time now, so I just wanted to say how sorry I am to hear that your faith in the franchise, and maybe even your passion for it has been wavering of late. It's certainly understandable, in the wake of Toriyama's passing and all the other other mis-steps (Some of which I'll admit I don't quite understand, but they sound frustrating!), but that still has to suck. How can it not, when it's been such a big part of your life for so long? I truly hope that in the days to come, this ship rights itself to your satisfaction, at least to whatever extent is possible. But regardless, I just want to thank and commend you for all the work you've put in, and for continuing to do so even in these uncertain days. I've been enjoying your work on this channel for some time (The Gine "What If?" was a particular highlight.), there's still more I have to look through, and I hope to continue enjoying the fruits of your talent and dedication for as long as your passion endures. Cheers, and take care of yourself!
What you said at the end about what's happening with the Dragonball franchise as a whole has me at least a little concerned, Masako! Now, I don't know if you've been following "Yu-Gi-Oh!" in the last year or so, but the franchise's current show, Yu-Gi-Oh!: Go Rush is slated to end (we think) in April of this year, and there has been no announcement of a new series, whether or not the weekly anime is ending for good, there's been essentially nothing but radio silence from Konami about the future of the anime (aside from a monthly web series lore anime, which more like shorts than full episodes, that was announced)! The reason I'm bringing this up is, I find it odd, and weirdly coincidental that the creators of 2 of the most well known franchises on the planet, Toriyama with Dragonball, and Takashi with Yu-Gi-Oh!, have both passed on, and the powers that are currently running them (Toei/Shuesha with Dragonball, and Konami with Yu-Gi-Oh) are effectively screwing over the fan bases of their respective animes (and in at least some cases, the fans of both shows) and leaving them in the dark as to what the future holds, its just so weird and disappointing to see and hear this, and this is on top of the way Toei is handling the US release of Diama!
Another interesting point with this episode: If you look closely, Panzy's father *_does NOT_* have the collar on his neck. I don't know if that was simply an animation error or if he genuinely got rid of the thing. But it's still something to ponder about.
I’ve loved Daima so far, but I am getting tired of the fake drama in some of these episodes. “Oh no, Goku and Vegeta are pinned down by a couple dozen soldiers firing blasters at them. How can they, guys who can level planets as a warmup and move so fast that the human eye cannot follow their movements, possibly defeat an entire TWO dozen regular dudes with blasters? There’s no way they’ll get out of this one!” Goku’s sudden super saiyan transformation and defeat of the villains could have happened right away.
This has been a consistent gripe of this series for me. I have a theory that Toriyama was only around for the first draft, and after his death they are scared to change anything to make it better because they don't want to be disrespectful to his legacy. That's why it feels so noticeably clunky in parts.
@@fan.of.nintendo there’s more at stake in a story than a binary lives/dies proposition. Thinking that their life is the only thing a character can lose is such a specifically juvenile way of understanding conflict, even in a Shonen battle series. 15 minutes of uninspired combat against opponents that shouldn’t have lasted but a few seconds at most isn’t good story telling; it’s disrespecting the audience’s time and any prior investment in the story or characters. I have enjoyed the heck out of Daima so far, but that doesn’t mean I won’t criticize it when an episode wastes my time.
Did you notice that the girl who tricked Hybis for the third eye, looks suspiciously like Towa. In an episode that focused on Dabura and his family, we get a random character who looks a lot like his sister? Hmm...
Personally I think the show has tricked us. We are MEANT to believe it was Degesu getting the third eye. But we see Degesu come back to the room and the conversation didn't instantly turn to being about the third eye. So I believe, the person who traded the belt for a hat was actually Arinsu
@@polterghost_ I don't think it is. Her hair, skin, and eyes color all match that of glorio and I think it going to be glorio 's sister and will either be working for Shin 's brother or sister or is innocent and will be attacked by king gomah making glorio very mad.
The False Tension in Daima it's ridiculous Goku are in base we know he's holding back 99% of his power because Kakarot still have skills and transformations like Kaioken, SSJ1, SSJ2, SSJ3.
I'm wondering if the reason of the lack of hype in the US is due to not only the lack of exclusive streaming rights (it's on Crunchyroll, Netflix, and Hulu), but also lack of broadcasting. I would have expected Daima to be aired on Toonami, like the other series are/were.
Goku Doesn’t use Kamehameha, Vegeta doesn't use Garlick Gun, Piccolo doesn't use Hellzone Grenade 0 tension because we know Goku can destroy the Demon Army in 5 seconds if want.
The show has done everything in its power to nerf Goku and Vegeta into character that can actually interact with the story. The air is thick to move in, they're kids, they're weak against magic. The logic is there. Daima would be unwatchable if Goku could just power through opposition, or obstacles until he reaches the final boss.
I like the part where the previous Great Demon Kings have their silhouettes resemble final bosses from Dragon Quest. We had the Dragonlord from Dragon Quest I, Nelgel from Dragon Quest X Version 1, and Zoma from Dragon Quest III.
While Goku and Vegeta can decimate entire armies, they are holding back to avoid hurting the innocent civilians. Hyblis is something else man really exchanged his "favorite belt" for a hat without even knowing the importance.
I'm not mad that they didn't go SSJ in until near the end, it was a choice I suppose, but I also don't think the arguments against it are very good either tbh. The whole, "it'd waste energy/revive bugs" doesn't work because, 1.) Wouldn't placing yourself in more danger just waste MORE revive bugs, and 2.) We've seen that they can go both SS2 and SS3 in kid form with very little issues keeping those forms up. Now, those were only small bursts of both forms, but perhaps then, the show should have established that keeping those forms up is difficult in their kid bodies? Like make one of them fall out of SS2/3 during a fight with a Tamagami or something idk but then regain it or need to use a revive bug? What I would've done is scrapped the scene of Vegeta getting hit for no reason entirely this episode and in one of the past episodes had one of them struggle with ki issues in a Tamagami fight and need to use one.
I didn't know this show was on HBO Max or Hulu or Netflix or Amazon prime. Or why would i watch it on Crunchyroll if i had other options. Just to watch the Dub . Which is three months behind.
I dig all of the lore, But it annoys me how they introduce in Daima the knowledge of multiple universes which is somehow forgotten about by literally every Dragon Ball character by the time Champa Introduced in Super. That being said, I love the animation and the concept.
Goku seems to work similar to Superman in this case. Sure, his ki protects him from most stuff, but magic is a type of energy he's still somewhat vulnerable to, especially with his reduced body.
@@erorpro Yeah, you're not wrong there. The best I can say is the wish that reduced their bodies still has their physical capabilities off balance. We know Goku was ridiculously fast as a kid, Krillin too. But it could be a harder version of how Goku was when he lost his tail. Having to balance both physical scale change, capabilities change and ki imbalance... But yeah, this is a stretch XD
I get the same feeling watching Daima as I did when I was watching Super.....I kept waiting and waiting and waiting for it to "get good"......only to get Goku not knowing what a kiss was,Spirit Bomb swords, back tingle super saiyans, and Ribrianne. I don't know WHY I keep expecting Z....I should know better by now.
@@zanthonyhill8818 that's Toriyama humor for you. comedic, satirical, silly. it's a comedy at its core. Anyway, what kinds of things were you expecting from Daima that would be like Z? to me, the show had been emanating more so classic Dragon Ball vibes, maybe with some reimagined GT elements. thoughts?
This was a fun one! I was fully immersed. I chalked Goku not using SSJ til the end as him still trying to be fair, only for them to roll out the tanks. I also assume Gomah sent Degesu to get since the heroes are after him and he thinks they might attack him on the spot if he's seen? Also, I'm surprised you didn't talk about the ending. Gomah doesn't ask about the Third Eye. Degesu doesn't update him aboht the Third Eye. He just mentions the Gendemarie Force and that satisfies Gomah. Did Degesu use magic to turn into that lady and he already has the Third Eye?
@ I don’t mean the gendarmerie we know they are weak but their utility is what makes them powerful. It’s just weird that we have been shown that them being smaller didn’t really weaken them but that they had to learn how to fight in a smaller body
@ Yeah it's really an inconsistent plot point, my take away from it personally is them telegraphing if it was the adult versions of themselves they would sweep the force. Though they should still be capable if they can still transform and all of that anyway.
Vegeta is also pulling his punches. I remember when he massacred whole armies and planets for sport. It does make sense that the laser weapons are magic based, and could disrupt or circumvent ki. And I always had a weird feeling about how Degesu immediately chose violence against Dende even before the next episode. Neva knew that Ghoma would intercede, and didn't want to play his hand, but Degesu ... Well, his name rhymes with Zamasu. Repopulation Plan? Zero Mortals Plan? I know they are not the same. I wonder if he will be our final boss ... or if there is a reason why the previous Demon Kings only use the Eye sparingly, and don't keep it on them all the time. Perhaps there are consequences to using that artifact, especially if your baseline isn't strong enough. I guess we shall have to see ...
Another episode of 'making characters forget their powers 'til last minute 'cuz we decided to make the series 20+ episodes, and can't write proper conflict'. Neat. Like, I enjoy the series but the stretching is just frustrating
Honestly? My only Idea why they took so much time to go all-out is, that they underestimated the danger they were in and wanted to preserve some energy for the fight against the Tamagami. They still plan to take on the presumably strongest being in the demonworld, so they wanted to spare the majority of their power for that fight. However I wish it was directly stated in the episode. Like Vegeta saying to Goku: "Do not tire yourself out over the small fry, kakarot!" or something like that.
The thing I didn't like about this episode is that Vegeta has been taking on armies like that since he was a kid- well... which he is again. He performed pretty poorly here even though he's now exponentially more powerful. They missed a great opportunity to highlight his tactical and military experience. The other thing is that Gomah was going to wish for the Third Evil Eye anyway. He could just as easily have offered his help getting the third dragon ball in exchange for Hybis's belt. Also, I think it's still unclear if Degasu was the one who traded the hat for the belt. I understand why it makes sense that he'd hide that fact from Gomah if he did but it's hyped as a power second only to the dragon balls themselves, so whoever has it would use it immediately or else do whatever they're going to do with it.
I feel like the blasters are not power level based. So instead of them dealing x amount of damage, they simply use paralise magic spell that will affect you based on your magic resistance rather than power level. The Demon world doesn't even know about Ki existing, not in the way the mortal realm understands it. That being said, higher power level means you can be faster, which is higher reaction speed, easier to avoid being hit, so yeah transforming would still help
this might be my favorite episode as i love the lighting in this.(one of the demon king's that had the 3rd eye really looks like a grown up beelzebub from sand land especially after finally watching it.) like this is the few times we've,compared to gt where it was because of bad writing goku wasn't just ripping all his foes apart with super saiyan/4 immediately i like it showed ki blast actually having impact with magic enhancement(which the z fighter's have no defense against that babidi could've been more of a threat using on them with what he does to bystanders.). reminding of goku's honorable side being angry at him & his friends being attacked by "cheating methods" pushing him past his point/seeing panzy's family return, like the toriyama way the third eye is revealed showing more of dabura(compared to in z where some of it felt like filler that didn't impact the main story much as intended stalling/z has always been convient as it's different from other manga stories handling of situations for it's benefit and detriment.) and the demon hibisu gave the belt to SERIOUSLY looks like towa with a green beehive on her head.
I had two questions watching this episode. One, did they forget they had super sayain most of the fight? And two, is vegeta armor just a fashion choice at this point if those guns can do so much to him?
Hey Masako I just want to say i havent been able to watch a lot of the new videos you have been doing. the main reason being I'm avoiding spoilers for Daima as much as possible. I waiting for the dub to come out completely. so just know I'll have to watch all this at a later date. Sorry about that.
I don't understand why people are so heated over Goku and Co being hurt or struggling against the large army. Clearly these guards are stronger than the ones they took on at the village, they've got better weaponry and stuff. And we know these weapons are really strong, Goku and Co are still assuming they have to fight the Tamagami so it makes sense to converse energy and only transform periodically and for short periods. Besides, by the point Goku used SSJ, he was already weakened by having taken multiple shots from those electric vehicles so he probably just needed the extra boost. This just feels like some people don't understand that Dragon Ball isn't just a collection of fights with no narrative consequence. Are we forgetting the whole plot of Daima revolves around the fact that they're kids and can't fight nearly as well?
Besides, if the Frieza Force having weapons capable of harming DBS Goku is acceptable, then the literal demon realm having weapons capable of harming much weaker versions of the Buu saga cast should be acceptable too
@@shrunkenderpwell, for one, they're bringing out bigger and stronger weapons and these look to be different in the way they shoot and stuff, plus these guys are probably better trained given that they're here to guard the 1st demon world
The fact that they were being outmaneuvered by the guards is my problem. Goku, Vegeta, Piccolo and even Shin by themselves shouldn't have any problem speed blitzing them all within a few seconds regardless of the magic weapons hurting or them not being able to predict their trajectory with ki sensing. Like isn't one of Vegeta's favorite things to do is speed blitz into the sky and then rain down a wide volley of ki blasts at the ground? Why didn't he do that? The entire time I was wondering why they were having a problem. Sure those new weapons still hurt. Fine. But you're hundreds to thousands of times faster than the people firing them. Faster than any of them would be able to follow. And then; "oh right, Super Saiyan". So now two of them are even faster than before. Yet there was the king spinning in a circle while surrounded by like 25 guards with Panzy shooting from his shoulder and he was somehow fast enough to not get hit. While spinning in a circle and not moving from that one spot. He didn't get hit. Not once. But Goku actively dodging three people firing at him gets hit. I don't hate Daima. But things like this just treat fans like their idiots. It's insulting. Had they just made it so that these guards could at least put up some kind of a fight or they had speed based magic or something like Cheetara from the Thundercats. But no, they're just fodder with potent weapons. Regardless of the weapon potency, they're still fodder due to their speed.
I think we're getting a Goku x Vegeta x Piccolo three way fusion with the fusion bugs. The fusion bug sign showed 3 people fusing, there was a few scenes in yesterday's episode where the three of them were the focal point on screen. Something in my monkey brain is screaming "THREE WAY FUSION".
I am very curious about that too. Because while the sub says two people - yeah the image very clearly shows 3. And granted this could be showing the two fusees and the fusion. But I am hopeful for a three way fusion
Besides the pacing, what's been bothering me a bit too is how they're dealing with the soldiers, when he first met Panzy Goku was able to take down on several soldiers, in base form (and not to mention Goku alone took down a whole army when he was a kid) now he needed to go SSJ to fight them, and it was never stated that their weapons were that powerful or magic based, that they could take down beings as strong as Goku and co. (we just have to assume the energy is the same that is used in the portal shields) inconsistencies like that are very annoying (also the choreography this episode was lacking compared to previous ones).. I hope it gets better, this is a fun show to watch, still.
Previous times there were a lot less enemies at once, so volume of fire is the reason Goku is being hit this time. We never saw any of the good guys ever being hit by one of those blasts before, so I wish Goku had been hit by a stray blast before to ilustrate their effect
This was the first epsiode I checked how long if been watching for, the second half dragged. They really could of just gone ssj and cleaned up in an instant. The first wave the second was really unnecessary. You could of had wave 1, king shows up to help and then tanks show up they go ssj wioe the floor and get on with the show🙃
It would have been easy for Gomah and Degesu instead of uselessly emoting like usual had said "we souped up the guns with extra magic acid rocks" mentioned 2 episodes ago and since we were told it was tightly controlled the impression is Gomah is throwing all his resources which is what we are already supposed to conclude. Even better if they SHOWED the troops slotting those magic rocks (and said nothing) into their guns because that would be showing not telling As for transforming, say "a spell was cast around the palace to make the air super heavy" and it has to be cast there to be strong enough to work. Or show it by having Goku and Vegeta (probably Vegeta) monetarily going super saiyan then falling out the form, he's so surprised he gets blasted with the shots and then needs the medi bugs. Show not tell. And so now Goku and Vegeta have to conserve power so Piccolo does most of the fighting while G and V support, FINALLY giving him something to do and look awesome and giving the 3rd Demons an even more awesome entrance. This episode sucked and it sucked because with a few changes it could have been incredible but instead it was a huge missed opportunity. I feel as insulted as the hat girl.
Honestly I just enjoyed the episode, I also expected the "guns" expected them to be magical, especially given they look like staves. I also had a moment where I felt they were more so for shocking / stunning / detaining, which when you consider how life force is valued, makes a lot of sense.
I do talk about Daima, just not online. I view it on Crunchyroll and it doesn't have a forum anymore. I don't look up video's because I want no spoilers. So, don't be too jaded Masako :)
The show is amazing! I don’t see why the English dub would have any impact on Daima’s success? If there are folks waiting for the English dub to even start the show, then they’re clearly already bought in. You mentioned that they were stretching things out but I don’t get that feeling either. The episodes go by so fast that I appreciate any scene taking its time or just a bit longer. It never feels sluggish. I loved seeing The King show up and the whole squad fighting together. It was really fun to watch. I don’t buy your negative outlook on the show. If you’re not feeling it you don’t need to review it. I enjoy your reviews but I dont agree with your perception that the show isn’t doing well.
It's unfortunate, as the main issue I have seen so far as everything is lit. Is the lack of magic exposure as well as the complexity. Everyone else, it reminds them of goku getting shot again and understandable. I find the lore dump great, but one issue I find is their not much focused on the present. Lastly as much people are not a fan of it thier wasn't much dialogue like most anime I watched it's been more of content creators guessing that this what's expected from goku as if goku not an adult. Perhaps.
The entire episode i was screaming at vegeta to use his signature vegeta's technique. If there is a perfect time to use it, it is exactly this time, to fight a shitton of weak enemies
I'm sorry but with all the plot holes, lack of tension and indefensible scenes and with only 5 episodes left I can honestly say this is the worst canonical DB series.
Worst episode so far for me. Not even mentioning the powerscaling, the pacing and everything was horrible. So far 3 episodes back to back, are getting really weak, with this being the weakest one. Goku as a kid, destroyed red ribbon army, alone. I know, they were all normal humans, and so on. But, now he's way stronger since then. Not to mention, Vegeta also, decimated entire civilizations as a kid. Bardock Story Kakarot (The game), shows that quite well. There's literally no reason, Goku and Vegeta couldn't turn both Super Saiyan and wrecked all those demon soldiers, or if that isn't enough. Go further and turning into Super Saiyan 2, knocking them all out, before anyone could even blink. And don't give me that excuse... Saving for stamina or whatever. Vegeta ate revive bug, without hesitation. A more efficient way would've been, for one of them turning Super Saiyan 2. Blitzing all the soldiers, and after it's over, then eating the Revive bug, but it was wasted over a literal single hit, Vegeta took. Like, both are staying in their base form and getting wrecked. Sure, the guns are magical based or whatever, like electricity. Then SIMPLY DODGE IT! And the tank scene... they're just... standing still, while it's charging. Just jump or something and all of them can literally fly. I know, at the end there... Goku FINALLY transformed, and just blasted all of them away. But, so much time wasted, when Goku/Vegeta could've done it, way sooner.
I was very much enjoying the first parts of Daima when it was still in the third demon world. But ever since they established that Goku can at least run with ssj2 and Vegeta can go ssj3, those adventure episodes have totally lost their stakes and I can't take it serious anymore that any stand in army or statistic enemies can give any sort of struggle to the z fighters. And in this episode specifically I was thinking that it unneccessarily was dragged out. Come on, Piccolo alone would have been enough to wipe the floor with the army within seconds. It just doesn't fit to make a OG Dragon Ball series but with already established power houses of characters. The only reason I keep watching Daima is because I am interested in the upcoming bout with Majin Duu/Kuu vs the Z fighters.
Goku would rather get hurt (edit: and probably risk a universe or two) than start a fight at full power and at this point it's just part of his character 😂
We're never getting a continuation of DBZ, the next show will be an adventure in between the 10 days waiting time for the Cell Games, or some bull like that.
The battle was really pointless for the story being told to us. I did like the expansion of Dabura's lore, though. Personally, I think something is going to happen with our two Majin friends, wherein THEY get the eye, and hilarity ensues.

"That was a good disguise you did back there. Could've fooled me"
"What disguise? Hybis didn't have the belt when I found him."
Goma and Degesu stare at each other
@synthellaart1587It would be but I don't think that really holds up. She clearly approached Hybis with the intent to seduce him and did so during a dangerous battle. It's still possible but she didn't seem like she didn't know what she was doing to me.
My three favorite moments in this episode:
King Kadan and his forces coming in as reinforcement.
Vegeta genuinely smiling at them coming to help them out in battle.
Panzy and Kadan teaming up with a great father/daughter moment.
this is all one moment you just named different parts of it
@ssjalpha6593 meh, my point still stands, at least to me.
this episode just reminded me of when Goku attacked the Red Ribbon Army base back in the day.
7:28 the anime clearly stated that the 3rd eye was passed down from Demon King to Demon King, so it's safe to assume it's not a recent development.
Yes, I both liked and was bored by this episode
This has been a consistent gripe of this series for me. I have a theory that Toriyama was only around for the first draft, and after his death they are scared to change anything to make it better because they don't want to be disrespectful to his legacy. That's why it feels so noticeably clunky in parts.
You say "fake drama" like Super doesn't take place before a known time-skip, so we know they all survive at the end
I liked the history of the Third Eye showing what looked like a silhouette of Zoma from Dragon Quest 3 as one of the past Supreme Demon Kings.
My most... awkward part of the episode was the fact that we are in a civilian area, but it was just... brushed over.
Honestly Kadan may actually deserve to be the new Demon Lord.
The dude really putts his money where his mouth is
well other peoples money....that he stole :P
Did you notice that the girl who tricked Hybis for the third eye, looks suspiciously like Towa. In an episode that focused on Dabura and his family, we get a random character who looks a lot like his sister? Hmm...
I did notice that as well
I thought that was Degesu in disguise
Personally I think the show has tricked us. We are MEANT to believe it was Degesu getting the third eye. But we see Degesu come back to the room and the conversation didn't instantly turn to being about the third eye. So I believe, the person who traded the belt for a hat was actually Arinsu
@@polterghost_ I don't think it is. Her hair, skin, and eyes color all match that of glorio and I think it going to be glorio 's sister and will either be working for Shin 's brother or sister or is innocent and will be attacked by king gomah making glorio very mad.
@ I figured he didnt tell because he has doubts if he should
Alll that action, specially all the fire Power Made this episode great. Happy things are spending along
I'm just now realizing Gohan isn't in Daima because they didn't want to make new character models for him. Imagine Ultimate Mini Gohan.
Liked this episode a lot. Though it would appear the Gendarmerie soldiers trained at the Stormtroopers School of Shooting lol
I will say I enjoyed how they just stopped playing the theme song mid-note when the reinforcement ship got blown up.
The False Tension in Daima it's ridiculous Goku are in base we know he's holding back 99% of his power because Kakarot still have skills and transformations like Kaioken, SSJ1, SSJ2, SSJ3.
Thank you for updating us! It’s so interesting hearing Dabura be mentioned and slightly relevant again.
Magic powered weapons or otherwise, there's no logical reason for the Z-Fighters to be struggling against foot soldiers.
Yeah, but they should of been able to decimate the army before they got chased into civilian turf tbh.
Well Dabura _did_ want the Third Eye but he was satisfied with just getting it away from Abura
Imagine a rematch with Gohan and Dabura using the Evil Third Eye.
Ok but what about Goku's speed and abilities, he should knock all the soldiers in a min .
Oh! I loved seeing another member of Dabura's species :)
Anyway, what kinds of things were you expecting from Daima that would be like Z? to me, the show had been emanating more so classic Dragon Ball vibes, maybe with some reimagined GT elements. thoughts?
If you somehow went into daima expecting more Z, then that's on you. It was clear from even the initial trailer that wasn't the case.
I do wonder how much of a power boost that the Third eye could give.
Should have just called cell and have him clear the army in 30 seconds.
What I don’t understand is that Goku says “looks like dealin with this might be rough on a kids body.”
Which is ironic considering he solo'd an entire army in an actual kid's body.
(I mean sure those where Humans but still.)
Vegeta did that being weaker then the Zarbon, perhaps magic is stronger then you think considering that magic created the universes…..
Another episode of 'making characters forget their powers 'til last minute 'cuz we decided to make the series 20+ episodes, and can't write proper conflict'. Neat.
Like, I enjoy the series but the stretching is just frustrating
Neva could 100% summon the 3 tamagamis to help but he’s like nah
If you watched the preview post credits, that was DARK!
Also duukuu brothers lol.
I miss the what it's 😭
Are we really gonna be doing this until Daima is done?
How many episodes were left? I forgot what was announced
I just want this show to be over I feel scammed tbh like wtf
The Blasters being able to subdue goku and vegeta makes me wonder how much they'd work on end of super goku and vegeta
also we may see it later, but i wonder if Buu, Kuu, and Duu are immune to the blasters
I think they would have been stunned, but it would not have had the same impact as this episode did.
Merus used them on Goku And Vegeta and they worked just fine. Blasters seem to be Goku's weakness.
I love Daima, i think it's slowly climbing up in my top favorites.
this might be my favorite episode as i love the lighting in this.(one of the demon king's that had the 3rd eye really looks like a grown up beelzebub from sand land especially after finally watching it.)
like this is the few times we've,compared to gt where it was because of bad writing goku wasn't just ripping all his foes apart with super saiyan/4 immediately i like it showed ki blast actually having impact with magic enhancement(which the z fighter's have no defense against that babidi could've been more of a threat using on them with what he does to bystanders.).
reminding of goku's honorable side being angry at him & his friends being attacked by "cheating methods" pushing him past his point/seeing panzy's family return, like the toriyama way the third eye is revealed showing more of dabura(compared to in z where some of it felt like filler that didn't impact the main story much as intended stalling/z has always been convient as it's different from other manga stories handling of situations for it's benefit and detriment.) and the demon hibisu gave the belt to SERIOUSLY looks like towa with a green beehive on her head.
When goku went super sayian, he was so pissed off he just was wrecking them
That 3rd eye just makes me think “Tien on steroids”
This episode made me question how Majin Buu was even a threat in the Demon World XD
Degesu is giving me Commander Black energy. Also makes me wonder if Tien has any link to the third eye.
Besides, if the Frieza Force having weapons capable of harming DBS Goku is acceptable, then the literal demon realm having weapons capable of harming much weaker versions of the Buu saga cast should be acceptable too
(Although I do hate Hybis as a character, I will give you that, he's just not entertaining)
What do you mean “clearly”? They use the exact same gear
@@shrunkenderpwell, for one, they're bringing out bigger and stronger weapons and these look to be different in the way they shoot and stuff, plus these guys are probably better trained given that they're here to guard the 1st demon world
Still using the “kid body” excuse when we’ve seen them take out Dabura/Cell level Tamagamis is insane. Daima is just badly written sorry lol
I loved this episode. Kind of amazing to see this adventure just turn into a war story. looks like Red ribbon arc.
I think it will be with the supreme kai maybe
It’s actually only 2
@@AlphaNeedsADiet I think it's 3 bro
@@AlphaNeedsADiet actually yeah just googled "daima fusion bugs" and one of the images was the sign with 3 people
Besides the pacing, what's been bothering me a bit too is how they're dealing with the soldiers, when he first met Panzy Goku was able to take down on several soldiers, in base form (and not to mention Goku alone took down a whole army when he was a kid) now he needed to go SSJ to fight them, and it was never stated that their weapons were that powerful or magic based, that they could take down beings as strong as Goku and co.
Magic-based weaponry was the same conclusion I came to as well.
Sooo, who's the girl that took hybis belt? Is it really degesu hence man, or Arinsu, or even degesu himself but using a female form?
This was a disgrace, og DB Goku could of handled this by himself
This was the first epsiode I checked how long if been watching for, the second half dragged.
They really could of just gone ssj and cleaned up in an instant. The first wave the second was really unnecessary. You could of had wave 1, king shows up to help and then tanks show up they go ssj wioe the floor and get on with the show🙃
More like "Dragged on Ball" am I right?
It would have been easy for Gomah and Degesu instead of uselessly emoting like usual had said "we souped up the guns with extra magic acid rocks" mentioned 2 episodes ago and since we were told it was tightly controlled the impression is Gomah is throwing all his resources which is what we are already supposed to conclude. Even better if they SHOWED the troops slotting those magic rocks (and said nothing) into their guns because that would be showing not telling
As for transforming, say "a spell was cast around the palace to make the air super heavy" and it has to be cast there to be strong enough to work.
I spent the whole episode wondering why no one was turning Super Saiyan. I liked the flashback with Dabura
Honestly I just enjoyed the episode, I also expected the "guns" expected them to be magical, especially given they look like staves. I also had a moment where I felt they were more so for shocking / stunning / detaining, which when you consider how life force is valued, makes a lot of sense.
i got a red ribbon vibe from this episode
Perhaps.
Goku: You guys aren’t fighting fair. Are you supposed to be Tien Shinhan!? *glitch* Why did I say that?
Towa made her anime debut
The entire episode i was screaming at vegeta to use his signature vegeta's technique. If there is a perfect time to use it, it is exactly this time, to fight a shitton of weak enemies
"acomplice of degesu" i think that was just degesu in disguise, shin himself said glinds aren't man or woman, they can choose their shape
Probably a MINION of Dagesu.
Just a small detail that we didnt now
Namekians do have a limit on there regeneration abilitys
As neva said if something hits there "core" theyre gone
Vital point, not core.
@Crazylegs677 i dont know japonese the subtitles i was using said core
The shilouettes during the flashbacks have people that look like gomah and demigra..i dont know if i was looking into it too much
the episodes come out, the more im convinced Daima was supposed to be a movie, and they made it into a series
this absolutely should have been a movie.... you can feel how much the plot is stretched out...
Actually, it’s more that it was meant to be a small web series, then got stretched into a full series, way I understand it lol
We've come a long way since Charakter.
I'm sorry but with all the plot holes, lack of tension and indefensible scenes and with only 5 episodes left I can honestly say this is the worst canonical DB series.
Masako you have 666k subs… that’s vaguely hilarious so In honor of the world champ “HAIL SATAN”
Great video.
These guys we’re trying to be like Ginyu Force
Piccolos explosive wave could have fixed this. Hell, a big combo gallick gun/Kamehameha could have fixed much.
Didn't Neva said a few episodes back, nameks shouldn't use their powers for conflict?
The Chase was a fun time🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉
IM GONNA CALL IT KUU AND DUU ARE GONNA FUSE INTO MAJIN KUDZU!!
Anyone getting Commander Red/Staff Officer Black vibes?
We're never getting a continuation of DBZ, the next show will be an adventure in between the 10 days waiting time for the Cell Games, or some bull like that.
The battle was really pointless for the story being told to us. I did like the expansion of Dabura's lore, though.
Personally, I think something is going to happen with our two Majin friends, wherein THEY get the eye, and hilarity ensues.
