  • Here we see 3 level crossings in action in the Far North Highlands with 158719 crossing over all 3 with the 1600 from Wick to Inverness. First we see Watten between Wick and Georgemas Junction, followed by Hoy which is between Thurso and Georgemas Junction. Hoy is the most northerly main road level crossing with lights and barriers in the UK. After Hoy we see Halkirk level crossing which is between Georgemas Junction and Scotscalder. To finish the Far North theme we see 158722 terminate in Wick from Inverness.

Nice video. So you’ve done the most northerly level crossing. What about the most southerly for a future vid? 😀

Hoy level crossing the loudest in the whole video and Wattens alarms are so fast for some reason and Halkirk is quiet
