This video is amazing I have been looking for years to animate Arabic variable fonts and finally I have a script that works with Arabic Fonts this is extraordinary!
The script is a showcase of potential functionality, encouraging third-party developers to create even more advanced features. The value of free tools is undeniable. Thanks for highlighting the importance of disabling Motion Blur.
Unfortunately not, but you can use text animators and split the text to different layers. If you need more control, you can check out this 3rd party plugin that I cover in this tutorial th-cam.com/video/JKxrgZ_xqoA/w-d-xo.html
thanks! I am only having a problem when exporting in media encoder, the variable font is changed to another. If I export directly in after the font is maintained. anyone else with this problem?
Looks great. I installed the script but when I click "Installed Variable Fonts" (around 4' in your video) there is no list. I tried with different fonts, re-installing, but still nothing.
It appears these scripts only work on v^24 I've been away from AE for about a year and haven't yet looked into what the two versions are all about (along with some of the other products where there are two versions)- probably some hardware requirement I'm not meeting.

glad I could help
Incredible video. Thanks so much for making this!
Thank you for the nice words :-)
Thank you so much :) You save me hours and hours of my life. Have a great day ❤
You are welcome!
Thank you! In my case the script is buggy (disabled) if motion blur is enabled on the layer. Leave motion blur off and have fun.

Hey, this is really useful! My typography for the campaign I am working on is a mix of weights. Would it still be possible to animate?
yes, you can still animate the text as usual
Thanks for the tutorial, very useful !
What if I want to apply the effect into one character only ? Is this possible ?

Variable fonts are not supported in Media Encoder yet. You'll need to render directly from Ae.

You should open a ticket with the support team of the developer. I'm sorry I can't help you.
Same here, let me know if you find a solution :)

Thank you! ❤️💯👊⚡
Thanks for this! Is anyone experiencing that the animation is not working when its exported?
Try to delete the cache files (Edit > Purge All) and then render
@@SternFX Thanks, I got it to work when using render queue, it only makes strange jumping errors when using den media encoder..
@@TarikArnautovic I don't think the script supports ME, just use AE to render it and it should work fine
This is great but none of my Adobe Variable fonts are loading?
Works well on my end, I suggest to open a support call with Adobe. Thanks for the comment!
