    The way to animate with text animators always twists my brain. It's a little bit like programming. But very powerful nonetheless.

    Thank you! OMG I love Mat Voyce! Thank you for an amazing tut! I’ve been trying to copy him for years now. He has a tut on Domestica about it. He usually set up everything in Illustrator and then animate it in AE!

    I do the same with the camera movements, always thought I was doing wrong, but i'ts easier for me ❤
    BTW, I found uncheking "Auto orient" inside layer menu, kind of helped do the same, without strugling with point of interest

    • @nathitappan
      @nathitappan ปีที่แล้ว +2

      You probably have a background inside the original 3D text comp. Then the layer style will be applied on the outside of the outermost shape. Delete you background layer (shape layer or solid) and leave just the 3D text with the alpha channel. It should do the trick.

    Great tutorial! 1 query...I got all excited and did multiple strokes using the layer style technique but I started seeing some sharp corners instead of smooooooth curves. These sharp corners got progressively more obvious on additional strokes - I went for 6 (told you I got excited). Got any thoughts on how one could minimise the sharp corners?

    Thank you so much. Was looking for a quick and efficient way to make 3D animated titles for a project, I downloaded your project and then tweaked it for my needs. I learned how you made it looking at keyframes and settings here and there. I absolutely love when motion designers share their AE projects, as a motion designer myself who knows where to look at, it just makes it sooo much easier and faster.
