Normally I go for the pro models. But this base 15 models look nicer than the pros. Apple really did give the base models a nice clean finish and pro specs!
Nothing "pro" about this phone with yesteryear hardware.
Trust me, still better to get Pro (1 year newer technology in everything)
If you want iPhone 15 because you don't need much, it's better to get iPhone 13 and save $200
I’d still get the 15 pro just for the refresh rate. 120 hz is super smooooooooth

I feel like this year the regular 15 is going to be the best value iPhone and probably the best selling model for the average person. Even me being into tech I was initially leaning towards the 15 pro but actually leaning toward the regular iPhone 15 because they upgraded so much and it kinda doesn’t make sense to spend $200 more for tech specs and vanity bragging rights. Coming from a XR this would be a huge upgrade while not being the most expensive model.

I also like how much lighter the regular models are compared to the pro models
Still better to buy the Pro, you get:
- 8GB ram
- 1 year new chipset (A17 Pro), next year Apple probably give iPhone 16 regular A17 non-pro
- 120Hz
- Better Cameras
- Smaller bezels
So by buying the pro, it will last at least another year before you upgrade while having better experience.

@@MrQuay03 Depends on if those features are important to them. On paper, sure, it's better to buy the Pro, but those extra features don't always make a huge difference.
Thanks for the awesome unboxing and first impressions Nick! I'm really liking the matte textured back on the iPhone 15. It's a nice change from the glossy glass backs. And those extra zoom options for the camera are a great addition

Base 15 wallpapers are much nicer. I want the mint green or blue one! I'm on a mint condition (and mint green) iPhone 11 and I still love it!

I went from a 14 pro max to a 15 plus as the 15 plus was cheaper for me and besides the 60hz screen I actually really like the base model phone. I really like the matte back with the aluminum sides. No fingerprints at all.

@@svtv_9615 nope I did the same went from a 14 pro to a 15 base and I like it a lot. It’s way lighter than my 14 pro. Way more comfy in the hand, I have usb c now the 2000 nits screen is great and I have the same chip so I’m more then happy with it

Nick some questions because I'm in the labyrinth:
- 14 Pro and 15 have 12 Mpx in telephoto but there is no info "telephoto lens" in 15 model why? Both take 12 Mpx and I know it's crop in 15.
- I have basic iPhone 12 and quality from 2x zoom on 15 will be the same as in main lens in my 12? My main sensor is 12Mpx

The squared off edges is actually NOT more ergonomic to the iphone 11.. The 11 was designed much better and felt better to handle.

I love the design. Only thing that would be great would be Usb c 3.0 and at least 90hz. To be fair tho, if the differences between the base model and the pro model would get so minimal, the lineup wouldnt make a lot of sense anymore!

I had to trade in my old phone (which is annoying bc it’s fine and has better specs than this i think) which is a 13 pro but the second i found out the iphone 15’s had fun colours i was like .. yep this is the one i want LOL so im just waiting for the green one to come in the mail and then i gotta send my 13 pro back 😔 but i’ll be paying less later for my 15 if i end up liking it so i’ll probably be able to actually keep it if i want to

8plus user here too.. absolutely no problems with it, except battery is getting tired. Can’t complain, I have had it for 6 years now, and it has been running great without problems.
But man I’m ready to upgrade.. I played with the basic 15 in the store and I was sold right away 😅
I think the 14 pro is currentLy a better deal than 15.
Despite people are saying, this year the regular apple received relevant updates. Of course could be better: usb 3.0, decent cable, fast refresh screen, fast charging… but when we talk about apple, that’s a nice evolution, we are still waiting the revolution!
The regular 15 and 15 plus do not have Pro Motion displays.

S23 for sure. If u want to be iSheep and buy 1000$ phone with 60Hz go ahead but for 250$ less u get much better specs better camera 120Hz and better cpu and gpu. But u need to make the decision

My 15 Pro Max has got toasty but does not overheat, the 15 I will be monitoring this before my next review of the phone!

Upgrade, 12 pro max also has 60hz display so you won’t miss that.

iPhone 15 Plus is basically a 14 Pro Lite version. It got way better upgrades than the regular 14 Plus.

Apparently there’s been some issues with the back paint like it’s been rubbing off to the point the phone is no longer what ever color you ordered it in
Just clean it with a lint or micro fiber cloth and it will easily restore to original finish

It's a totally different chip so no it's not happening

I don't like these light colors. They look like they have a white paper over them and the true color is the color around the camera.
Using my 14 pro with its horrible battery. Charged it twice today and battery is at 89% health. I am interested in getting the 15 plus or the 15 pro max for better battery life.
