But for a reason Gonta would agree to such a plan may have likely been to protect Kokichi since Kokichi was working with Gonta to eliminate a threat and the threat being Miu turning Miu’s plans against her. Gonta knowing that Miu was going to kill Kokichi may have been likely since that could be an only reason someone so good would do something bad to protect another person in spite of how that person has been mischievous and deceptive a lot. It seems Gonta before losing the memories of the event of what has happened likely wanted to protect Kokichi and save him considering that the other contestants see a lot of good out of him and how he is like usually being good. I really doubt he had mal-intent to kill Miu as much as Kokichi ultimately had more of the intent in doing so through his sadistic smile.
