Yeah, when they told me they would send me a 'Zimablade' and showed me all the marketing material I was like "Oh shit this is gonna be dope". Then I got it and was like "Uh....this is it?"
These single board PCs are going to have a hard time competing with the flood of second hand Lenovo Tiny PCs that absolutely blow the performance and expansions of these SBCs out of the water. $150 for a 1L PC that has 8x PCIe, up to 64GB of DDR4 RAM, and standard with an i5-8500T? They're cheap enough that you can have a whole cluster of the suckers for the price of some of these smaller systems that are out there.
Definitely true. I have 3 used HP Elitedesk 800 G4 Mini's, each with an i5-8600T, dual NVMe M.2 slots and SATA, a whole mess of USB ports (types A and C, 5 and 10Gb/s), and Intel pro gigabit ethernet, all in a 1L box. With 64GB RAM and a 1TB SSD, one of these pulls 4W at idle and 47W under a full CPU load. The ZimaBlade pales in comparison and really doesn't cost that much less. They could at least put a newer CPU in it, like an N5105 or an N100.

100% agree with you.
