Michael Benyamin She really is! I'm born and raised in NYC and Karen Walker is usually the type of woman that would normally be hated by me. The kind that's rich, privileged, and outta touch with reality. But her character developed so well over time, that's she almost the most likable of the 4 at times lol. That's really a great testament to the writers. I can't wait for the new season this fall!
Sorry I’m so late to this but yaasss she is freaking fantastic! She’s so talented and Karen Walker will always be one of my favorite characters of all time🥰🥰🥰
The way she laughs and kind makes a high pitch noise before saying Sean, really shows how much she loves him as a friend and how happy she is to be his friend and co start, and just the way she ways it is so cute.
Megan was ABSOLUTELY INCREDIBLE as Karen Walker. That character will go down in TV history as one of the funniest, best-played roles on network TV. IMO, Megan should have won more than one Emmy.
Talk about a great group of actresses. Literally, any one of them could have won that award and it would have been thoroughly deserved. I mean, Friends, Will and Grace, Sex and the city, Everybody loves Raymond; all iconic.
Back at a time when everyone deserves to win but you had to have talent no just millions of Instagram followers But megan was always amazing in will and grace 👏🏾
Honestly any of the women there deserve the award but Megan ... wow ... Karen Walker is by far one of the funniest pj in the history of tv totally deserved
@@JenniferBrigitteOpticalVortex Brigeety or Brigitty or Brigeet--its French, so what American should be judged for not pronouncing it accurately you petty butt-head !!!!!
At 0:55 she is telling him the correct way to say her name. He walks away dejected and corrected and she gave a little face and raised her eyes like "I can't believe I had to tell him that."
Because they set out to keep everything equal without a hierarchy so for most of its run, all the actors from the show were submitted in the supporting categories instead of lead because in their minds, nobody was the lead since it was an ensemble show. But then the supporting categories were so damn strong, eventually they switched to nominating the cast in the Lead Actor & Actress categories which resulted in both Matt's getting nominated along with Jennifer Aniston who ended up winning in that category which is now weird because Lisa Kudrow won in supporting.
Every woman nominated that year in this category would end up winning an Emmy or had won one except for Kim Cattrall. Lisa Kudrow won in 1998, Doris Roberts would win three in a row starting the following year and win a fourth in 2005. Jennifer Aniston would win in 2002 but for Lead Actress in a Comedy. Mullally would win one more in 2006 for the final season of Will & Grace. In 2004, Cattrall lost to her co-star Cynthia Nixon.
Was there a deeper meaning behind Jennifer and Lisa being in this category?. I wouldn't call their characters on Friends supporting....Maybe it was in protest to one cast member being put in a different category or something.
In an ensemble cast like Friends there was no single lead actor or actress. They all pretty much played equally significant roles. So all six of them would be considered supporting actors I think.
Thats what I thought but one year Jennifer won best lead actress. If you look at past nominations, they switch between categories. I would have thought it was like Modern Family when most of the adult males are in the lead category and usually all get nominated with one winning.
Hannah!!! Huh, yeah it looks like after 2001 all their nominations were as leads. Interesting for sure. I wonder if it had something to do with salary negotiations from that point on. Who knows.
Everyone here is commenting on Chris Rock mis-pronouncing her name. Did no one hear that he called Doris Roberts' show by the wrong title??? He says, "Doris Roberts in Everyone Loves Raymond". The show was called "EveryBODY Loves Raymond". Mr. Rock was not at his best....
ageordieboy The show can submit the performances for whatever category they want. Sometimes they calculate that an actor has more chances to get nominated for a supporting role that year, so that's the category they apply for. For instance, Sex and the City has four leading ladies. What are the chances that all four will get nominated in a category that only has 5 spots?! So they spread it out. There have been supporting roles that won the Guest category. It's all about knowing your competition.
_Friends_ was considered an ensemble (i.e., they all supported each other), so for Seasons 1-7 the cast was nominated in the supporting categories. For Seasons 8-10 they were placed in the leading categories. Well, except for Courteney Cox, who was the only one of the six never to receive an Emmy nomination.
Am I the only one who never thought of SATC as a comedy? I mean of course it was funny, but it wasn't specifically "forced" to be funny or get the joke line if that makes sense. I always considered it a drama.
Karen Walker is one of the best TV characters ever!
yah she is!

Agree.
Megan has been one of the funniest women ever on a sitcom. She made that show.
Agree.
I adore Megan. But I'm sure she'd disagree with your statement. All 4 cast members made the show; they worked together incredibly well.
One of the best supporting actress on ANY nighttime TV show ever. EVER.
Megan is like a sitcom Gilda Radner. As sad I am that Radner is no longer with us, Megan is a beacon of light. I love her!
Lisa was great on Friends too and Doris Roberts
They are all excellent actresses.
She and Sean were the show. Everyone else supported them in my opinion.
My point exactly ! Sometimes I waited through Will and Grace scenes to spot Karen and Jack.
Denise Spurlock agreed
I completely agree
She should have changed the title from Will and Grace to Karen and Jack!
Agreed! Megan and Sean were that show! Eric and Debra were not nearly as funny. Her fights with Leslie Jordan are iconic.
What a time for television, the field was so competitive.
Was just thinking that - jeeez
The way she laughs and kind makes a high pitch noise before saying Sean, really shows how much she loves him as a friend and how happy she is to be his friend and co start, and just the way she ways it is so cute.
So magnanimous. Such class. Much Mullally. Wow.
Not to mention those tits
her little giggle when she says Sean’s name is the cutest
I love Eric and Debra´s reaction at 1:45 ....they are one even in real lives :D
So in sync!!
Megan was ABSOLUTELY INCREDIBLE as Karen Walker. That character will go down in TV history as one of the funniest, best-played roles on network TV. IMO, Megan should have won more than one Emmy.
Will & Grace was the funniest show I've ever seen. I miss it and them.
Itzzzzzzzzzzz back September 28th
treg1980 I think it was funny. Hard to beat the original but the new revival had heart
i think she whispered to him " its mulahlee"
I thought that too lol
Me too !
Yes! And then you can see his face thinking "oh sh*t"
Chris also said "EveryONE Loves Raymond." I mean, had he really not heard of Megan or ELR?
I wondered that too.
WOW Meghan looks amazing, love her as Karen!!!
Anyone of the nominees could easily won the award any other year now😮 Such an amazing time for TV comedies.
A lovely speech. She looks beautiful. And what a strong group of nominees. Megan was the best by far.
Awwww! I love how she said, "Sean."
Holy shit she looks so hot here.
I've always found her to be sexy asf
Talk about a great group of actresses. Literally, any one of them could have won that award and it would have been thoroughly deserved. I mean, Friends, Will and Grace, Sex and the city, Everybody loves Raymond; all iconic.
Wow I feel strange cause it's the first time I heard her own voice instead of Karen's. Such a brilliant actress!!
She's so classy. :)
I love her voice, she talks so wonderful and classy.
Back at a time when everyone deserves to win but you had to have talent no just millions of Instagram followers
But megan was always amazing in will and grace 👏🏾
I love how everyone from the show was so supportive of her and cheering her on..

Megan was so fine, like really really fine
I sometimes forget about this show, then I check it out again, and I realize how iconic it's gonna be as time goes by
Miss Karen, what a lovely speech.
Wow what a tough category; all amazing shows x
Wow. Amazing then and amazing now. She's so underrated
Megan Mullally has great acting on Will & Grace in season 2.
LOVE Megan Mullally!!!! She should have won EVERY YEAR "Will and Grace" was on!!!!
0:50 Max is so happy for her it's adorable
Every time I want a quick laugh...
Don't give up !!!
love her she is gorgeous
Love love here character she's great 👍
A wave of impending doom came over me seeing Chris Rock at an award show
You hear that loud applause during and after her name being called? That’s what you call real talent.
The show should be named Jack and Karen they both are the real stand out of the show 👍👍
siddharth nagar Totally!!
She was just fabulous in the series !
They deserved all the Emmys
Karen best character iconic ever
Megan Mullally and Alex Borstein are my favorite comedy actresses.
When Chris Rock couldn't pronounce Megan's last name 😂😂😂
I know--- they really should teach presenters how to pronounce their last names. LOL
@@JenniferBrigitteOpticalVortex Brigeety or Brigitty or Brigeet--its French, so what American should be judged for not pronouncing it accurately you petty butt-head !!!!!
I think she told him how to pronounce it when she whispered in his ear
@@grahamellis3547 he looked pissed when she corrected him.
@@grahamellis3547I think he was more embarrassed than pissed. And at least she didn’t smack him. Though that would have been very Karen-esque. 😂
I love her
Everyone loves Raymond?? 🤣 Well sure they do.
theres a mustache-less Ron Swanson making me uncomfortable
She’s a beautiful woman!
That was a CATEGORY everyone on this was amazing
Oh look, it's a young Nick Offerman!
At 0:55 she tells Chris Rock how to properly pronounce her name.
+spoyledbratt Lmao you can tell he was like "oh crap"
0:24 listen to the cheers for will and grace
At 0:55 she is telling him the correct way to say her name. He walks away dejected and corrected and she gave a little face and raised her eyes like "I can't believe I had to tell him that."
what an iconic time
What a category!
Amazing girl :)
That ring ♡♡♡
Doris Roberts was a brilliant actress ❤ so was all of these amazing people 🎉
Legend.
The crowd rooting for megan
i love that this a vhs rip
R.I.P Doris Roberts we missed you!!
+kevinmodernfamily20
What a category
0:43 Ron’s mustache is gone. Probably due to friction.
Debra Jo Rupp was not nominated even a single time for That 70s Show . Baffles my mind .
Her and Kurtwood Smith deserved some recognition
Luv her
Karen Walker is the greatest
Hard ass year!!!
....everybody is so polite
Why were Jennifer Aniston and Lisa Kudrow called "supporting actress" for their roles on Friends?
Because they set out to keep everything equal without a hierarchy so for most of its run, all the actors from the show were submitted in the supporting categories instead of lead because in their minds, nobody was the lead since it was an ensemble show. I wouldve given it to both megan and kim. They stole the spotlight
Aww u probably didnt notice but when she approached to chris rock she whispered is mullally not mullalee
I like to think she whispered into Chris Rock’s ear the correct pronunciation of her last name
What a fun time! Friends, will and Grace, sex in the city! What a great time for TV
I sincerely hope that whisper to Chris Rock was: "here's how you pronounce my name, learn it."
Sean hug her 💖
Can someone make a sitcom like how they used to be in the 90s/2000s cri ?
The truth is. WE all watch the show because of Karen and Jack. Fenomrnal... WHO cares about Grace or will...? Hehehe 😀
Eric McCormack is so handsome. He was the perfect fall guy for Sean Hayes. Great show!
omg nick offerman XD
When sitcoms were good...
I always forget what she looks like because her voice is so different
why was Jen Aniston nominated as a supporting actress on Friends?
Megan...... Moolele, Will & Grace!
XD
She was "leading" funny lady on that show.
Doris Roberts was also always great on "ELR".
Never knew Rachel and phoebe were supporting cast 😅
Jack & Karen, the spin-off that should have been.

If you're going to present learn to pronounce names right.

RIP Doris :(
Aren't they all leading actresses?

Why does Chris Rock sound British here??
Glad Megan didn’t slap Chris for mispronouncing her name. 🤡👍
Does that mean Courtney Cox was considered a lead?

On TV In Oz
Nine Network : Friends Sex And The City Frasier
Seven Network Will And Grace
Network Ten : Everybody Loves Raymond
So Deb wasn't genuinely pleased with Megan winning, envy is truly one of the seven deadly sins 😡
Uhm, yes she was! Debra was beaming for Megan at appx 0:52 (she was just sitting a few seats to the inside of the row).
She kinda is really.
Nick Offerman hunting
