    All the electronic gear on the picnic table. I remember camping with only a Colman and a hibachi (and beer). How times have changed. 🙂

      LOL, I remember camping in the desert with a motorbike, a piece of steak, and a fire. And that’s it! I think it would kill me, now.

    I recently went to the redwood forest and the lighting was extremely challenging. I also found that in order to properly capture the scale of the trees I needed a reference so I had to stand in many of the compositions but then I was faced with the fact that I didn’t find viewing myself as pleasing (no offense to my mother)

    I was amazed at the dimensions of the forest. Without people, I could not even estimate how big the trees are. But with a person like in 10:45 it becomes clear how big and majestic these old trees are. Very beautiful pictures!

    Beautiful place, great images! As a US southerner currently indoors avoiding 36C+ outside temperatures, it's always interesting to see anyone in the northern hemisphere outdoors during summer, wearing a coat. 😀 Question - Are the raw images you show the actual raws or the raw (jpg) preview? They seem much more colorful than my raw images by default. Maybe it's just Fuji vs. Canon? Enjoyed the video.

  • @howies.chanel13

    nice forest, I guess having a big megapixel image sensor allows those big 16.9 crops to still have lots of resolution. My Question is in the past with a smaller full frame sensor, would u have done more panos, to get the wide feel or just tighter crops with your composition. On this note how much has the fuji medium format changed your shooting style Adam. Has it made your composition ideas easier less work with being able to crop a lot and lose the data as opposed to a smaller full frame sensor..

    • @QuietLightPhoto
      @QuietLightPhoto  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      My shooting has changed a great deal with the GFX. I crop more frequently, usually in camera. The 65x24 pano is fantastic. I use most of the crop features in camera on a regular basis. Yes, less work. The files from the GFX are also lovely to work with in post.

  • @jeffolson4731

    There are so many gorgeous hikes on the peninsula; I love the Hoh Rainforest. When there aren't many people, it feels like you could be walking back in time. I haven't made the trip over there in a few years. Thanks for the reminder of places to revisit in my own state! Your RAW files are gorgeous, but I see how they are softer after you edited them, which definitely aligns with your brand. Hope you made it back home with no mechanical difficulties. Just one question, was that a local beer?

    • @QuietLightPhoto
      @QuietLightPhoto  ปีที่แล้ว

      Haha well there is a story to that. The beer wasn’t actually beer, it was some sort of alcoholic fruity beverage that I picked up thinking it was beer. I had forgotten my glasses. It wasn’t very pleasant

    • @jennifercrouse
      @jennifercrouse ปีที่แล้ว

      @@QuietLightPhoto OH NO! Mechanical failure AND fake beer? Ouch! The beer thing happens a lot more than you think around here. There are so many local microbrews that it can be like trying those awful Harry Potter Every Flavour Jelly Beans!
