By trumpeter David Mason - Paul McCartney worked it out at the piano with David's input. Paul wanted him to do another take just for grins but David told him he couldn't do it any better than the one he did. He was paid 25 pounds, equal to about $580 today.
Great video! I recommend practicing baroque literature and learning to transpose as a great deal of the literature is written for trumpet in C or D. The vast majority of what I play is with the 'A" pipe. Also it helps to get that piccolo trumpet sound in your head. I recommend listening to Maurice Andre, Hakan Hardenberger, Caleb Hudson and and Otto Sauter! Always warm up on the large Bb or C trumpet before moving to the piccolo. Never strain!

Spot on Bravo ! Curious if your using the D lead pipe fitted for a cornet or trumpet mouthpiece ? I just bought a cheap piccolo trumpet on Amazon that only supplied a D and Bb pipe for trumpet mouthpieces
Ugh that’s way more complicated than I thought. I bought two trumpets from a friend last year. I’m a guitar player, I have absolutely no clue how to play the trumpet
