I have come to apologise for criticising the experts and producers. The codependency of Paige and the narcissism of Chris is malignant. They need counselling, not marriage. They need to stop spiritualising the situation. All they show is the deep trauma and turmoil that Christians lacking wisdom and the fruits of the Spirit may face. This is a lesson to me and I thank God that I can witness it and not experience it firsthand.

Yeah, but that’s such a defeatist attitude. For me personally attraction can grow. When I see that person in their element doing what they love or they make romantic gestures towards me I start to become attracted to them. He’s not even doing that. It’s like he’s never heard of seduction or wooing someone. He’s just hoping she becomes attracted to him without having to do anything to make that happen. Or worse he thinks it’s over because she wasn’t initially attracted to him.

This season of MAFS is definitely getting draining. It’s sliding beyond Real Housewives into Love and Hip Hop territory. I’ve watch every season of MAFS and I enjoy watching other seasons because you actually can learn about your own preferences or relationships from the couples. And this season I’m just like I WOULD NEVER!!! #jesuswept

In the beginning, I was rebellious and not conforming in my marriage to what my husband thought or was taught that a virteous wifw should be. He was trying to change me into a "church lady" and I was like nope. But when he allowed me to be myself, he saw that I was a better wife as myself than the one he created in his mind. 😁
Yes, Vinny has something deep to deal with. I agree with Angel. Don't stay and play with a bad attitude and then act like you don't have one. Coping skills for feeling overwhelmed would benefit him. They do need a code language or cue other than a tantrum that there is a problem.
I’m still more on Jake’s side than Haley’s (although he doesn’t always have the best timing). I do think Haley came in with the right intentions, but I don’t think she’s showing a genuine effort, and Jake is well aware. If he had someone who was in it as much as him, I don’t think he’d be in his head so much. But because she’s not giving him a lot to work with, he’s having to pull from his bad past relationships to fill in the gaps.
I’m not mad at Haley, but I feel like she realized real quick that this show was a bad choice for her, and she’s just going through the motions to get to the end so she can get out.
I agree. I feel like Haley gaslights Jacob. She doesn’t even try and when she does do something it’s backhanded. She does not like him and she just needs to say that. She does bs to act like she tries but her heart ain’t really in it.
Paige’s parents both have been divorced multiple times and she said (during the casting special) that she felt like she was supposed to break the generational curse. And I feel like that’s what’s guiding her decision. I feel like she could very well be the generational curse breaker in her family but she’s focusing too much on not being divorced to break the generational curse. Instead the breaking the generational curse is just her having a happy, healthy marriage, which this is not.

I seem to recall her mentioning that generational curse, and I agree with you that her stopping it should be focussed on finding a better spouse. Or maybe, she should have trusted God's timing better than searching out this alternative method to finding a husband.

I been saying all along something ain’t right about “Champagne Vinny” It’s now finally coming out. I saw something but couldn’t put my finger on it. He is emotionally immature and has angry issues. Remember the cousin told Brianna he gets really upset. Brianna has her hands full. She gonna have to walk around on eggshells when it comes to Vinny not sure what will set him off. Not sure how she is going to navigate this ship. It’s doable but is Brianna up to the challenge? Besides Vinny is not a great communicator.
Yes and when the cousin said that I think we all equated that he gets upset with anger and rage, but he gets sad and shuts down. It’s funny because that makes me think of last season when Miles would open to Karen and explain he’s an emotional person and even though he acted like a rational person she treated him as if he was behaving like Vinny 😐

For my MAFS fans that watched from Season 1. Jamie that host the show before the episode, she was not attracted to Doug at all. Attraction grew & Jamie was eventually got to, "I think I have a crush on my husband"!
That is exactly who I thought of when Kev brought that up. Jamie literally cried real tears because she was NOT attracted to that man but look at them now
They were my favorite couple!! Attraction does grow, but Doug was also being patient with her and didn't seem to make her feel too guilty about not being attracted to him.
Jacob makes up scenarios because Haley gives NOTHING!! she is completely disengaged. I like Jacob, he's quirky but honest....he calls her to the carpet and she just sits like 😑. Exactly. I don't think Hailey has been trying at all ever since they had sex. She's retreated, shutdown and said she's not attracted to him. She already don't know how to communicate so he's got no choice but to pretty much feel hopeless for this situation. Attraction can grow but that's only with 2 people that are trying to get to know each other. Buying clothes and acting like she has no faults isn't gonna bring them closer. They both have work to do.

I’m low key worried for Briana because Vincent clearly has anger issues amongst other issues. That switch flipped in his head like a full on crazy person. I’m concerned as to how he will react when something “bad” actually happens. His family warned us about his anger but he said they were lying smh. Clearly they were not!

I don’t think Jacob/Hayley’s relationship is such a failure on his end. He’s honest and straightforward with someone who has never been truly interested in him. While I do think Jacob is quick to assume things, he’s pretty observant about Hayley’s lack of interest and effort.

It's a real darkness she can fall into. I'm really worried about her. She is already walking on eggshells, as long as he is teaching her something then it's all good. But the truth looking back there were moments where I was forced to make him feel better for his shortcomings. Which turned into something that changed me. It quiet me. Someone who once excelled in so many ways and outspoken became quiet. Like Malcolm and Marie. It happens before you know it with people like him. The way he did her at the dance class literally made me cry for her future. I pray he sees himself and realizes that ish isn't cute at all.

I had the same experience in a salsa class. They made everybody dance with somebody other than who they came with so there would be no bickering n such. I was with the female instructor and my ex was with the little muscular male instructor LOL. I felt bad for Bri when her toddler-husband pouted about not being perfect at a dance class. I hope he recognizes (soon) the areas he needs to work on and learns how to have fun. The bike thing was sweet but, he gotta chill.

Yes! It’s his personality. It’s basura. Bennet was weird and quirky but he was an endearing weird. He romanced Amelia and He was able to get along with everyone. Jacob is such a dry personality and doesn’t even try to woo Haley. He even said that actions don’t matter in a relationship. Like come on. Haley could try more but she’s not the only reason their up relationship isn’t working. He’s part of the reason.
