Found this song while my beautiful mother "Amy" ironically was going through her addiction... Shes 6 years sober im proud to say... no questions asked shes my rock cause i had to be hers in her darkest time i love my momma

It’s sad. But such a good song. Brantley’s buddy proposed to his girlfriend (Amy) and that night on the way home he got into an accident. I can’t remember if the accident involved a train or not or if it was just very very serious. It broke amy. And it’s amazing how he was able to portray his friend and Amy’s feelings into the song. It’s so deep and I just live for this song.
He wrote that song about a friend of his that died in a car accident after proposing to his girl. It's a true story. So sad.
