I'm surprised she didn't want her boxed cereals in a plastic container. In my opinion they stay much fresher and are easier to use in the containers. I would do cereal even if I didn't do anything else. 😉😉
One thing I do when I decant and want the recipe or cook info is cut the info from the box or package, place it in a snack or sandwich zip bag and place it in the top of the container.
What prevents me from decanting is losing the cooking instructions. Pasta, sure, probably obvious. But rice and oatmeal can vary a lot. Plus expiration dates. 🤷♀️
I have fun when my sister lets me tidy and rearrange her cupboards. I also do an expiration date check up at the same time. Looks like fun to do a big ole pantry closet!
I know you are careful, but I was waiting for Penny to wack into the door or something when you were going in and out of the pantry. She is so funny. Just along for the ride. I love organizing pantries.
She has enough space between shelves for a couple of those sliding drawers that hang underneath. Extra space for little stuff like small cans or packets, etc.
I have those same clear containers that I decant into. They work for me, so I see when the product is almost used up versus in the box. Also, i discovered my pantry is ever evolving and takes a little time adjusting as groceries are used and new groceries bought.
I can never figure out how "decanting" saves any space or helps in organization. Not every package will fit into the perfect pretty container. Then you have extras in the pantry waiting to go into the perfect pretty container. When there is a sale do the packages go out in the garage on a shelf waiting to be "decanted" into the pretty matching containers in the pantry? Then how do you know the expiration date or cooking instructions on the items in the pretty matching containers? Maybe pretty hand written labels on the back? I obvious just don't get it. And spices! Those need to be within reach to put in a dish or mixer and then returned. Seems a lot more work to have the spices 5 steps away in the pantry every time a dish needs a pinch or dash extra after taste testing.
I've tried my spices on tier racks like that and it's just never worked for me. I switched them to a drawer about 2 years ago and it was the best thing for me. I can see everything I have and they are all right by the stove. If anyone has the drawer space.... I highly recommend it!
I like the look of containers to decant stuff, but it is not really suitable for things you don't use often as you no longer have the packaging with the expiry date, nor instructions or ingredients, once you get rid of the packaging. I use a few, but only for things we use often.
I see these what I consider a full pantry and people are always buying more ! Use what you have ! Then things would not have to be thrown out due to expired dates ! American s waste too much food !
Hi! Discovered your channel from Midwest Magic Cleaning. Your channel is great!!

I do this but just make a label for the container
Pantry looks great!!❤❤❤❤
The only issue I have with decanting items is the instructions need to be added to the containers. I didn’t see you doing any of that.
Expiration dates???
Plus it's a pain to keep up with in real life. If u have bugs. Sprinkle bay leafs in your pantry. It will smell great and keep them away.
Hi Gabbi! I came from Mack at Midwest Magic Cleaning. I enjoyed this video!!!

Love a pantry makeover❤😊

Hi Gabbi - you did a really good job of organizing your sister’s pantry! Now everything is categorized and easily accessible! I enjoyed this video😊
Heeey, really nice channel Gabbi, I came from Midwest Magic Cleaning!

I'm jealous of her pantry
No ma’am spices and seasonings gotta be right there at hand when preparing food.
You and the cans! 😂 I get it. 😊

Once you decant you don't know the expiration date.
Great job, looks so nice 😊

It looks nice, but that is a lot of wasted space.
