I don’t know how or why but TH-cam recommended one of your videos to me and they really resonate with me. Not long ago, I was told that I would ‘outgrow’ gaming and that it was more of a kids hobby. But finding channels of older games like you and Shirley Curry makes me feel inspired. I want to continue to game until I move on, not because it’s something expected of me. I’m glad to see gaming is still alive and well with older folks too - just goes to show that some hobbies are timeless and you don’t need to outgrow something if it makes you happy.
Fairy Tail has very memorable and emotional moments. You'd be surprised to know that Erza's voice is the same voice as Velvet from Tales of Berseria I identified her instantly. Both are women of great strength and do not depend on anyone to fight. Fantastic unboxing!

@@DXUnlimitedGamer I've played and loved it planning on picking up the dlc but its not really similar to this at all and the Ganbarion titles are ok but kinda lacking. The setting lends itself perfectly for a big open world game and it's super popular I really don't understand why they never lend the IP to more famous studios. Just imagine a Wind Waker quality One Piece game. Unlikely I know but people's dreams never end.
I started playing games in 1984 with an Atari 2600. Obviously had a NES growing up as soon as it came out. I'm now in my 40's and love collecting for Switch, PS3 and PS4, now that I can afford to buy whatever I want as an adult. For a minute I sometimes think maybe I'm "too old" to be gaming so hard until I found your channel. I guess you don't really have to outgrow anything if you are young at heart and just want to have fun.
How cool! I was scrolling down thru my youtube recommendations and I saw an older lady talking about videogames. At first I thought maybe I being fooled, that maybe this was an older lady pretending to like videogames. However, looking thru the videos I see you're the real deal! As a PS, as an American, I have family in Australia that I speak with on the regular. I know to ozzies and kiwis you can probably tell the difference between your accents. I cant tell much difference. What is really odd about watching your channel is hearing you speak about things that I'm into. Reason being is that my dad's aunt who I spoke with quite a bit, who would I imagine being roughly your age, wouldnt have known any of the things you speak of on this channel. Watching your channel is kind of like hearing her talk about anime and videogames. Very cool! Hope that wasnt too rambling. :)

While i never had that much interest in the Fairy tail anime, it seems that they developers of the game put some effort into the game, it looks pretty nice.

Due to the sudden enormous influx of visitors and subscribers, I am getting a lot of 'random' visitors (usually TH-cam suggestions) and they tend to be incredulous at first. I even had someone who thought I had concocted an elaborate scheme of 'fake' videos ... sigh. Glad you recognised what it is I'm doing - simply sharing my enjoyment of gaming.

@@Food4Dogs there's a couple of games on DS, PSP, and mobile. None of them nearly to the scale of this game. Wouldn't really recommend any of them though, none of them are that great.

Not bizarre at all. I'm having a constant battle with the TH-cam comments system. It is unreliable and prone to errors. 😔 I agree - Difficult setting will give the most rewarding enjoyment. Sometimes it is necessary, just to be able to fill up that meter! Otherwise battles are just over too quickly.

@@aldebaran2643 Not a weird question at all. But a complex one to which I can't give a brief answer. If you've watched my Vita videos, you'll know that I have one modded PSTV, currently. I'm seriously thinking about setting up a separate thread on the Community Tab for Vita discussion. I just don't want it invaded by the piracy advocates.
@@aldebaran2643 Well, I think it depends... On one end, you have an active homebrew, and emulation community that allow you to tap into the full scope of the hardware (Overclocking, ect.) I personaly use my PS TV as a mini classic console to play older games that arent natively supported on HDTV's. On the other hand you have people who just want to play pirated games. I understand this perspective as well, since I too participated in piracy with my PSP back in highschool. It was that experience however that made me realize that I would like to support the games of the people I liked. So with the release of the Vita, I decided to stop pirating, and purchased everygame I thought I might like. If anything, that's the hardest part about it. Deciding to spend money on a thing you might not enjoy. But more often than not, and especially with the Vita, I found that the games were all really well made. Without taking that plunge I wouldn't have played games like Onepiece: Unlimited Worl Red, or Trails of Cold Steel. Happy I didn't write them off, because they wound up being some of my favorites! All in all, it's up to you. But I also found that I'm more compelled to finish a game I payed for than one that I didn't. So maybe there's something to that as well. Just my thoughts on the matter.
I fully understand not monetizing your content. I have a gaming blog that's been going on for 10+ years, where I review games, rant and talk about upcoming games. I do have a play-asia ad widget, which earns me maybe a dollar a year, and I don't even advertise the blog at all. To me I do it just because I like writing about games, I'm not amazing at it but I have fun doing it. If people find it and interact, that's great. If not, no problem. You seem to be having fun and that's what matters. I will definitely check your impressions of the game once you post that. It's one I've been looking at, that maybe I'll grab once I'm done with Atelier Ryza.

@@DXUnlimitedGamer I've played and loved it planning on picking up the dlc but its not really similar to this at all and the Ganbarion titles are ok but kinda lacking. The setting lends itself perfectly for a big open world game and it's super popular I really don't understand why they never lend the IP to more famous studios.
Just imagine a Wind Waker quality One Piece game. Unlikely I know but people's dreams never end.

I started playing games in 1984 with an Atari 2600. Obviously had a NES growing up as soon as it came out. I'm now in my 40's and love collecting for Switch, PS3 and PS4, now that I can afford to buy whatever I want as an adult. For a minute I sometimes think maybe I'm "too old" to be gaming so hard until I found your channel. I guess you don't really have to outgrow anything if you are young at heart and just want to have fun.
How cool! I was scrolling down thru my youtube recommendations and I saw an older lady talking about videogames. At first I thought maybe I being fooled, that maybe this was an older lady pretending to like videogames. However, looking thru the videos I see you're the real deal!
As a PS, as an American, I have family in Australia that I speak with on the regular. I know to ozzies and kiwis you can probably tell the difference between your accents. I cant tell much difference. What is really odd about watching your channel is hearing you speak about things that I'm into. Reason being is that my dad's aunt who I spoke with quite a bit, who would I imagine being roughly your age, wouldnt have known any of the things you speak of on this channel. Watching your channel is kind of like hearing her talk about anime and videogames. Very cool!

Jokes aside, I think the audio, as well as the room lighting gives the video a nice homely feel to them, as you say, it's a hobby, ad-free and out of pure enthusiasms and enjoyment of your collection.
I was quite impressed with your comparisons of artwork, which actually makes perfect sense, when I take a closer look at it. As well, how you keenly noticed that each artist drew inspiration from a similar source.

They called it Sorcer Magazine as its a thing within the world of FT called "Sorcer Weekly" as its a place to find information on guilds and members within the Earth Land and to self promote yourself as a wizard or witch. Great Video!

While i never had that much interest in the Fairy tail anime, it seems that they developers of the game put some effort into the game, it looks pretty nice.

Due to the sudden enormous influx of visitors and subscribers, I am getting a lot of 'random' visitors (usually TH-cam suggestions) and they tend to be incredulous at first. I even had someone who thought I had concocted an elaborate scheme of 'fake' videos ... sigh.

@@Food4Dogs there's a couple of games on DS, PSP, and mobile. None of them nearly to the scale of this game. Wouldn't really recommend any of them though, none of them are that great.

Ive been playing Fairy Tail more and am playing it on difficult. Especially loving the battle system the most.

I agree - Difficult setting will give the most rewarding enjoyment. Sometimes it is necessary, just to be able to fill up that meter! Otherwise battles are just over too quickly.

@@aldebaran2643 Not a weird question at all. But a complex one to which I can't give a brief answer. If you've watched my Vita videos, you'll know that I have one modded PSTV, currently.
I'm seriously thinking about setting up a separate thread on the Community Tab for Vita discussion. I just don't want it invaded by the piracy advocates.
@@aldebaran2643 Well, I think it depends... On one end, you have an active homebrew, and emulation community that allow you to tap into the full scope of the hardware (Overclocking, ect.) I personaly use my PS TV as a mini classic console to play older games that arent natively supported on HDTV's. On the other hand you have people who just want to play pirated games. I understand this perspective as well, since I too participated in piracy with my PSP back in highschool. It was that experience however that made me realize that I would like to support the games of the people I liked. So with the release of the Vita, I decided to stop pirating, and purchased everygame I thought I might like. If anything, that's the hardest part about it. Deciding to spend money on a thing you might not enjoy. But more often than not, and especially with the Vita, I found that the games were all really well made. Without taking that plunge I wouldn't have played games like Onepiece: Unlimited Worl Red, or Trails of Cold Steel. Happy I didn't write them off, because they wound up being some of my favorites! All in all, it's up to you. But I also found that I'm more compelled to finish a game I payed for than one that I didn't. So maybe there's something to that as well. Just my thoughts on the matter.

I am not into Fairy Tail but I am glad seeing a video game based on an anime that is not an Arena Fighter.
I fully understand not monetizing your content. I have a gaming blog that's been going on for 10+ years, where I review games, rant and talk about upcoming games. I do have a play-asia ad widget, which earns me maybe a dollar a year, and I don't even advertise the blog at all. To me I do it just because I like writing about games, I'm not amazing at it but I have fun doing it. If people find it and interact, that's great. If not, no problem. You seem to be having fun and that's what matters.
I will definitely check your impressions of the game once you post that. It's one I've been looking at, that maybe I'll grab once I'm done with Atelier Ryza.
