Camped ,backpacked all over that mountain range the five years I lived there. Repelled off the side of the rock formation you were at on the drive up. I’ve even spent 3 weeks in total at the Scout camp, near the ranger station. Even camped in the snow up there. My favorite was the trail that runs along the ridge, down to just outside Oracle. Good times.

We usually only stay one night and I just throw everything in a cooler with ice 😎
