Yes. That is Sia before she started covering her face. I remember first hearing this song on the Blue Crush soundtrack. Long before I knew who Sia was, so I have always liked this song since the movie.
Brad, you make me so happy with the music you play on your channel that no one else does! Zero 7 is a criminally under rated band from the 00s. They colored my world in the most beautiful ways for many years back then. Highly recommend you just put them on some lovely afternoon when you're hanging with the fam and just vibe :)
Zero 7 had 5 different lead singers over the years. Sia, Sophie Barker, Tina Dico, Mozez and Jose Gonzalez. They usually toured with 3 or 4 of them at a time.
Zero 7 were music producers who invited singer-songwriters to collaborate with them who were around London at the time. Sia was one of those, even though she's Australian and subsequently moved to the US. Check out Zero 7 - Home with Tina Dico at her captivating best too. Zero 7 are still making music with different singers, just not as successfully.
Sia, Sophie Barker and Tina Dico were singers of Zero 7, and that was golden era of the band.. and Sia from that time was the Real Sia, especially solo career after Zero 7.. and this song, myyy gosh, one of THE Songs of modern music..
Zero 7 is one of my favorites. The lead singer situation in Zero 7 is fluid, they've had many singers behind the mic. They all make very chill music though.
love this performance. great band, many great songs i love the tune" distractions" . and i also love one of the bands other lead singers "Tina Dico" . definitely check her out
That first Zero 7 album is superb, such a beautiful vibe throughout. They were a bunch of studio boffins, who brought various singers according to need. You don't get to hear Sophie Barker properly on this song - check out In The Waiting Line for the best song on the album, on which Sophie sings lead. Oh, and yes this is *the* Sia, then billed as Sia Furler, her full name.
I actually came to know Sia by her work with Zero 7, very different aproach. I highly recommend the entire discography of Zero 7, truly masterpiece.
Same here. 👍🏼

Yes! Same here! Always loved this one.
Sia has such a fantastic voice.
I wax and wane on Sia's singing. There are times I can't bear to listen to hear her voice - too abrasive and nasal - and times I think she's amazing.
@@TheoZoffrok She's certainly quite unique.

Glad to see the younger generation checking out Sia's earlier work. Numb is still my favorite Sia tune.

Arguably the finest live recording of the era. Unbelievably well performed and engineered.
The other guy better have a really good argument.
This has always been so mesmerizing song.

This song is so laid back that you could drift out to sea on it and never be seen again ... hip to the heavenly harmonies ... chill 😎
All of Sia's live in studio stuff from back in the day is awesome.
This song always gives me the feels

Yes that is Sia 😂
She has done many genres- acid jazz and trip hop just for example
She’s about 26 here.
You make me laugh so loud!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Sia has an album with similar sound - Colour the Small One, it's my favourite album by her. Breathe Me (Live) is definitely worth a reaction ;)

In the waiting line is an amazing song
It's up there with _Who Can You Trust_ by Morcheeba and _Moon Safari_ by Air when it comes to debut downtempo albums.
@@Poopship Oh, you said it! Absolutely fantastic!
Added to playlist ❤
Zero 7 is so good. If you like this style (downtempo), I would HIGHLY recommend Thievery Corporation.
Bought this CD 15-20 yrs. ago. Super 🔥Trip hoppy
"Is that Sia?" Surely it doesn't sound like anyone else
🔥🔥🔥
Zero 7 - The Pageant of the Bizarre is Still my favorite Sia song.
Zero 7 - Simple Things album is a master piece
Love Zero 7....listen ti "Swimmers"
When Zero7 and Sia were God at the beginning of the 2000’s (behind Real Madrid and Steve Jobs) you were not even an spermatozoid. So, respect! 😉
This is when Sia had soul.
i am sure she would appreciate this backhanded compliment lol
Grunge?
This is downtempo/chill/lounge.
No idea sia sang this great song 👏✨✨✨
This is before she sold her soul and became trash
Grunge? Lol.
