Each morning the bantams would come round early and wake us up… they would chortle outside the bedroom window of the Gite, waiting for food, “a little bit of bread and no cheese” is what they wanted to !🤣❤ cheers 🍻
Have you both been to Chanctonbury Ring? It’s not far from where you are. It’s an amazing place and very spiritual. The walk up through the woods takes you onto the South Downs with amazing views. From there you will walk over to Chanctonbury Ring. Really worth the 30 minute walk. Sue and Al (I’m Sue) is carved in the fallen tree at the exit from the woods from years ago lol x

Farmhouse camping is one of Sussex's secrete ,its awash with locals at weekends but one thing for sure you will always get a very warm welcome and local tips on the local area

Love these country strolls with you Sammie and Raven. I found this one very interesting as yesterday I was doing a bit of Family Searching for ancestors who lived in this area of Sussex. Hi JP. Love South Downs in W Sussex, if you get chance, go to Kingley Vale near Chichester, by West Stoke, Amazing ancient woodland and Bronze Age settlement. Amazing Yew Tree Cathedral. Enjoy

Jp many years ago when my children were growing up I had a pigmy goat I used to put it on a lead and walk to yhe Park with her, even the infant school my daughter went to asked me if I would bring the goat in to show the children, I did get some funny looks lol

What a lovely camp site, my dad used to have bantams … I had chickens, but lost them all to foxes.. so I won’t have anymore. That’s a nice looking pub.. I love the glasses and beer mat.

When it comes to the great outdoors you are so knowledgeable...i learn so much by listening to what you have to say. Beautiful campsite and walk, i bet Raven is in his element with all the different smells. If im ever lucky enough to hear a yellow hammer I'll listen out for it saying "a little little bit of bread and no cheese" 😂...I'll use my imagination. How lovely to finish off the walk with a drink....those beavertown glasses are awesome. Take care guys ❤

What a wonderful place to stay. It looks like its got plenty of footpaths with beautiful scenery & a pub at the end.....well it would be rude not to😂😂 Didn't you say the first lady you spoke to at the Fox pub had a t-shirt on? You might as well see if you can get one of them as well.....if you don't ask you don't get. I've got an old Guiness pump cover a landlord gave me (I actually didn't ask though😂 He asked me would I like it & I said yes of course😄) I've had it years & just put a plug on it & it obviously lights up although its not a bright light/lamp. Everyone comments on it when they see it. Anyway looking forward to the new adventures with you all😄

Private woods you can’t walk in but all this land is cross crossed with public footpaths and woodlands so ok as you say you have the right to roam in Scotland same as Sweden 🤗👍. Thanks for watching bud!
