- This video shows how I made my dollhouse floor for Charlie's Cozy Cottage by Real Good Toys. I customized these tiles to look like ceramic tiles; to see these same tiles used as outdoor or patio tiles, check out my sunroom dollhouse floor video:

Love watching your videos, very helpful!
The floors look unbelievably realistic! Great work and instructions- thanks for sharing!
You're welcome, thanks for watching! 🤗
Hi Angie! When I put the joint compound between my tiles, I used a make-up sponge. It works great!
Hey Tam! That sounds like a great idea. I'll try that next time. Thanks for sharing!
Thank you! Lots of good information 💜💜💜
The tile floor is a lovely upgrade to my dollhouse. Thank you, LesliVendi
You're welcome, thanks for watching! 🙂
SO realistic! Such a beautiful job!
They say to wipe off the grout diagonally, that way, you don't wipe it out of the channels
The floors are beautiful. I like that you darkened the living room floor. I like the shiny look. I look forward to your next presentation.
Thanks, I like the darkened floor better too. 🤗
Totally did this and it turned out SOOOOOOOOO good!!! I wish I could post pictures to show you. Thank you thank you thank you for posting this video!!
I love your ideas. When grouting, I usually add some acrylic paint to it because I don't like it white, so it looks almost two-tone, but cohesive. I like that you use a large pop stick, I use the tool that looks like a scraper (can't remember what it's called off hand...a scraper? Lol) to spread mine on the tiles. You mentioned a very important tip and that is to place the tiles on a removable surface. I made my first big project mistake by not doing that and it was a mess! Thank you so much for your tips and knowledge. ❤
Yes, I also learned the hard way to use templates for the floor if there's wiring underneath. I'm happy to share whatever tips I've picked up over the years so I can help fellow miniaturists avoid some of the many blunders I've made. 😀
Thank you for your steady voice directions!
You're welcome!
thank you for the tile tutorial, im going to make a psycho diorama and this will come in handy
Glad it will be helpful. Your psycho diorama sounds like fun. The Bates house is beautiful and creepy at the same time.
What a great idea to use the card stock to allow removal of the floor to work on it. I will be trying this method for sure! Thank you!
Yes, if you put tapewire on the floor like I did then it's a good idea to be able to access it, just in case. Thanks for watching!
Love your work. Helpful video. Thanks!!
Absolutely beautiful. Thanks so much for sharing.

Hello, awesome tutorial. I will be using this tutorial for a shower room diorama, do you know where I can find or create miniature plants like the ones in your photos ? Thanks!
Nice tip! Thank You for sharing!
You're welcome, thanks for watching! 🙂
How creative! Do you glue the cardstock/tiles to the original floor of house?
You are are so talented. What do you do with all your dollhouses when they are complete?
Thanks! I keep as many as I have space for, and I occasionally gift or sell one to make room for the next one.
You could 3d print a few thousand of these tiles with a $16 spool of filament.
How do I make the floor have a smooth texture? (I’m new to this )😅
Genius shear genius
