Kat is not that guy… he played with the organization for years there’s a reason they traded him. He’s playing much better at the knicks but he’s also playing an insane amount of minutes and his usage is up from what it was. The knicks spacing works much better for him as well

@@ogilow3291 Yeah except they thought Gobert could lock down on his own after winning DPOY, but he's looking subpar without KAT there to help. I mean he shouldn't be playing that many minutes in blowouts, which is all on Thibs for playing the starters so late into games, but until they get a bonafide center behind Towns they're gonna have to be pushing him well into the 30 mpg

Randle has feelings, and it's ok to have them during a game like this. Being traded from NyC to Minnesota sucks. Let's appreciate him for helping us move forward in the right direction since his arrival. He did the best he could when he played for us, and we know he still wishes he were still here. Stop with the melodrama. Julius' reaction was perfectly reasonable. He didn't want to get traded from NYK AND is also dealing with the fact that he has not found his groove in MIN during a contract year. Getting blown out certainly didn't help with that reality, so cut him some slack. Without him, we would not be in the position we are now; so I don't see the need to kick him while he's down. I wish him all the best

Randal was being petty but the Knicks are in a better place. Troy as much credit as we are giving to KAT and Bridges, we have to mention Precious. I know it's one game but having Precious as a starting 4 in place of Hart was a sight to see on both ends of the court. Even Wally said that the starters were able to play their "natural positions." When they do, the Knicks have an advantage when it comes to length and size. Bridges at the 2, and OG at the 3 enabled OG to concentrate on defending Ant, while Precious has the size to battle a bigger 4s, and do most of the "dirty work" for Towns. I hope to see more of this line up.

No this is like when Carmelo & Jeremy Lin where in NY. Jeremy Lin being Brunson & Carmelo being Julius Randle. Randle followed Kobe's advice and went to a weak team to make it stronger. That's respectable. The problem is he like Carmelo he seems like he ALWAYS wanted to be that guy. Nothing wrong with wanting to be that guy, I'm sure most in the league have that aspiration on some level but you have to balance that out with what is working for your team and dynamic. This is why Scottie as good as he was wasn't that guy. If your that guy and the team does well under you. But if your that guy and it doesn't or better yet if someone else does a better job at it, you should defer to them and try to get better if you still have those aspirations. What Randle did for the Knicks was definitely a catalyst for their current success which is what Brunson probably appreciated. Randle probably like Melo saw him as taking over his team rather seeing that Brunson is a better fit than himself. This seems to make the Knicks forced to choose between the two. Imagine if Jeremy Lin was picked over Melo who knows how much better the Knicks could been in the 2010's.

The knicks have a chance to be really special. The hornets can trade NIck Richards and cody martin to wolves for divicenzo. Then turn around and trade divicenzo to knicks for robinson. The knicks can then send 1st rounder and 2 2nd rounders to Utah for Kessler. Finally pick up Simmons when nets buy him out.

I love your optimism. However, currently we are a second round exit team or 3rd round at best. Are we better now than what we were when the season started absolutely but we have a ton to work on and defense is a huge part of it. Then you have to factor in time management/player rotation and getting a deeper bench.
The NBA has pretty much figured out Jalen Brunson and Atlanta has our number. Boston is Boston and the Cavs are in a mission right now. Milwaukee looks like they are figuring things out and the Magic’s are behind us without their star players. As much I would love to see the Knicks win it all this year it’s hard to see it NOW.
