Spoiler free: there are spoilers in comments so try not to read them. You are doing great, and you can not sit in the survival pod, sitting is for later. Great job exploring, and even though it's a crazy environment just carry on like you would a survival situation, shelter, food and water, making tools and exploring. There is an option you can turn on in settings to pause the game, thanks to another commenter Kir Kanos for reminding me about it, and it would be helpful if only for the first few days so you can read through all the info in your PDA. I played the game way before that was ever added, so I forget it exists. Hope you are having a wonderful time in this beautiful game!
Best tip: Don't try to horde things, pick up and store only what you're going to need for the next thing whether it's a tool or a base component. This is as much a survival crafting game as it is an inventory management sim.
Yeah... No fabricator, no fun xD But you are doing great! Considering you didn't want to spoil anything by looking out there... Just don't miss reading ALL the databank to be sure you get all the info.
I've played through this wonderful game several times but the first playthrough was the best, when you know nothing. Looking forward to your series. I love first time blind playthroughs of Subnautica. Good luck survivor. 👍😉
Great start! Even with you missing the fabricator for 99% of the video, you STILL got the repair tool faster than almost anyone that has not played the game before! Most people are SO afraid of the Crashfish(the explodie ones) that they never look around where they are! Have you ever played Firewatch? If not it would make a great followup to this game. Subnautica, Firewatch, Stardew Valley, and Skyrim are my four favorite games of all time! You just got a like and a subscribe!
Really enjoyed watching this. Wouldn't have minded a face cam to get the expressions to go along with the voice, but very easy listening/watching, thanks.
In my top 10 games of all time going back to even dos lol. Just a amazing game NOT a SPOILER but don't forget you are in a game lol just breath normal once or twice i was gasping for air in RL. PS You can set in option for it to pause the game when your pda is open I have never sat down in this game, no need and can drop things from inv but have to be in the water.
Hi, one of my favorite games too. I gave the advice to sit, I was playing the game way before the pause thing was added, so I forget it's there! Thanks for reminding me!
Grrl... Sigh. You said not to help you so I'm busy screaming at my screen. Then you said you needed help. So... dump those fricken mushrooms and floaters. You won't need them at this stage. You can dump them by being in the water. Don't be grabbing a bunch of stuff just because you can, especially at this stage. Your most primary needs for now are food, water and understanding how to use the fabricator. You get the most nutrition from the fish if you cook them first, using the fabricator. For now, the fastest way to get water is to grab the bladder fish. They're purple, vertical, flat looking fish. You swam past a couple of them and didn't grab any but they will give you water. Those salvage scraps you keep grabbing are a good thing as each one is worth 4 titanium. You can break them down by using the fabricator. Titanium is used in most construction, especially base items. Those rock outcroppings that you keep breaking are important. They will always give you 1 of 2 items at random. Titanium will always be 1 option. The other depends on the type (the way it looks) of rock you are breaking. After a bit, you'll get used to which ones will give a chance of a specific resource... gold, silver, lead, etc. However, you just can't break it open as that only releases the resource. You have to grab the resource right after breaking the outcropping open. Also, those screaming, exploding fish are your clue as to where the sulfur is. After one of them blows up, swim back to where you first heard them scream. They pop out of these small pods that look like a dull open flower... kind of. There will be a sulfur stone in each freshly opened one. Okay, so there. I have not told you any spoilers later in the game, only some help on where you're currently at.
(sam) Hey TFG just a cpl small tips to get water catch the pink looking fish and use the fabricator aka your best friend the floaters you are keeping are pretty much useless just fun to attach to things and watch them float up so basically they are just a toy. So interesting watching someone play this blind and you are doing really well so keep up the great work and remember just keep swimming lol
Actually it protects the sulfur plant in exchange for food and shelter... There are weirder things in real life... Bees dying after stinging to protect the hive is almost the exact same thing.
@@jamesraykenney True, but bees are hundreds, if not thousands - and the crashfish is only one. If there is more than one predator, he went boom for nothing.

ok, I know you don't want spoilers so I'll just say, use fabricator on the wall. make knife first and then your repair tool. upgrade for more oxygen. Let the screaming in terror begin.
Ahhhhhh.... Music to my ears.... No really lol look up a band called Belphegor. Haha but seriously yeah this game terrified me when I first played it. Sometimes still does lol, it's always the "giant roar, panic and start swimming for the surface, turn around just to get swallowed by a demon of the deep" they never come at you from the front! TERRIFYING.
Ok so after watching the whole thing, here are some tips you'll NEED. Survival knife should be the first thing you make. All handheld tools will break resource rocks in one hit instead of 3. Fins suit mask oxygen tank all that personal equipment is NECESSARY you cannot progress without it. Make the scanner tool and and scan literally every object you see, including literally the ground sometimes because different resource rocks can give multiple different metal types from the same rock and the scanner tool will give you new blueprints when you scan one of the materials needed to craft it.
@@DETHdressedInRED They are spoilers . . . you are telling her what to make, in what order, and why. The whole point of a survival game is to figure this out on your own. Doing it is easy . . . figuring out what to do is the challenge. And other commenters have added additional spoilers.
