    My goodness I'd feel like I was going to snap in half trying to do that split, I don't know if it is possible! I can do the one with one leg in front and the other behind. My teacher says all within your abilities what your body can do, my body cannot do this ha ha, I . What muscles need loosening for this one? Can only go about a foot off the ground and can't stay upright.

    So it's basically like a flying side kick, but kicking with the "back leg" too then? Thank you, great tutorial and amazing skills. Maybe one day I will achieve this...😅

      Simon Scher . You are welcome Simon. By the by, here in Argentina we speak spanish so the way we would say "thanks" is " gracias" . That "obrigado" was so funny, it is portuguese, the language spoken in Brazil ha ha

    I liked when you said that you do not need to drop your hands for balance because your core can take care of it.

    • @emanuelpignat575
      @emanuelpignat575 7 ปีที่แล้ว

      I also tend to pivot a lot the standing foot, like 180°. I can't kick high with less pivot

    OMG! So.. I have 2 years... to my 3rd degree test! Hmmm age 55 and 5 months is my present age. Juche... I'm thinking... no not impossible... but... the scissor kick??? My instructor.... gotta luv him (he really is a good person)... kinda laughed and said "Good Luck". Apparently... I am will to find out what my pain threshold... really is! :)

      I like that attitude! Make sure you take baby steps though. Work up to it like in the vid. Don’t get injured

    you forgot to add pain in the split

    • @SimonScher
      @SimonScher  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      If you are warm
      And stretched there shouldn’t be pain. If there is you need to stretch a lot more. I recommend my flexibility or splits tutorials. Muscle pain from exertion is normal.
