So, Chris Martin, the lead singer of Coldplay, had been married to actress Gwenyth Paltrow, and I believe that I've heard her say that they met just after her father died, and she was in a very bad place, so he wrote this song about wishing that he could fix the pain that she was going through. Something like that.

This song makes me think about my mom. She died from breast cancer when she was just 30 years old.
I came in from school one day and she was in bed sick again. The chemo somehow had her blood sugar super low. We didn't have anything sweet in the house, so I grabbed some change out of my bank and ran about a mile to the nearest convience store. I bought her a can of coke and ran back home. I was about 9 and didn't know if she was about to die. I ran like her life depended on it. When I rushed into her room and presented her with the soda she had the biggest smile. For just one moment in time I felt like I fixed her. :)
I pray for anyone out there who has a terminally ill loved one. God bless you both. ♥️

6:37 the girl crying in the crowd got me too, when i first watched this. So many emotions, i could only imagine what it felt like to be there. This has to be one of the best live performances + crowds i've seen.

"Tears stream down your face when you lose something you cannot replace." Is still REALLY hard for me to listen to without crying but I ❤ this song so much, have loved it way b4 there was a reason it makes me cry, I continue to put myself thru it 😢
My favorite song from them by far. When the guitar solo starts it's just magical, I've watched that scene hundreds of times and still get chills.
This song came out originally in 2005. It's from "X&Y" - my favourite Coldplay album EVER

I have seen them twice (head full of dreams in 2017 and (music of the spheres) tour in 2023 and both times they played this song…just magical but the entires concert is like that. Best live show you will ever see !!! Words can’t describe the experience! Love Coldplay ❤
I was at a coldplay concert in my country Costa Rica, which in fact was the second of their last tour. It was one of the best experiences of my entire life...

I can tell you it's a celebration, and all nations united through music, as you indicated. There is so much power that doesn't come through in the studio cuts, and it surprises people. Thank you for this. (From the same concert, I recommend "Viva La Vida").
This song means a lot to me. In the summer of 2005, I lost my soul mate and this song was on the radio all the time. I had a part time job working at an Amazon warehouse and remember just listening on my break on the radio this song and just crying my eyes out during that time and then going back to the office area, my eyes red from all the crying. This song allowed me to release all the pain and grief during that time and to this day it still makes me cry. A beautiful song for anyone who has experienced loss. Lovely reaction ❤

Oh, Biss, you got me on this one. This old dog can learn a new song. I'd heard of Coldplay, but never heard this number. What made it special for me was the venue in Brazil, which is my 2nd home, via my wife and fam. The crowds and warm people there are truely what you saw. 💕💕

Their 3 first albums are simply awesome. This is their best from X&Y.
I'd say their first 5 are brilliant up to Mylo Xyloto, then around Ghost Stories they started to take a different direction, not nearly as good

Coldplay's piano version of "Yellow" live in 2012 is another legendary performance. Highly recommend.

in 2012 i was at a Coldplay concert. Best concert in my life (and i've been to a LOT of concerts)...
This is one of those songs thats best listened to sitting in your car in an empty parking lot in the middle of the rain. Just close your eyes and let the music and lyrics hit you like a train. Coldplay is hands down one of the best bands of our generation. ALL of their albums have fantastic songs. Some song's not so great, but others that are just phenomenal. Highly recommend jumping on a Coldplay marathon. Haha

I said it before, I'll say it again. Those LED-wristband that the tech booth can turn on/off remotely were a stroke of genius. Less phones in the air AND cool effects.
I might be mistaken, but I think Coldplay was the first act to do that. I saw them in 2012 and still remember the signs, "Wear your wristband, it's part of the show" and it was! Epic

Biss I love that you are doing live versions of some incredible songs. I wanted to tell you that I've been going to concerts for over 40 years now & I don't regret a single one. What I do regret is a few of the icons I missed that have now passed away. I flew up to Atlanta last year to see Coldplay & it was incredible. I hope you have LOTS of moments where the world fades away except for the band & your voice singing along with the audience.
