I used to iron all of my husbands office shirts and pants when i was a young woman. I realize people don't do much ironing much anymore, but doing so makes things look so nice and crisp. And i like the smell of fresh laundry too. My mother ironed all of my dads office clothes and us kids clothes as well. It was one of the ways of caring for the family and showing appreciation too. I don't think people today would understand that very much. It was a different world...
I remember my mother ironing hers as a child. I can still see her in her maternity top and skirt in nylons and heels, that was in November in 1962, heavily pregnant for the last of her eight children in our large country home (circa 1883) Ironing with a beer bottle water sprinkler painted blue with a flower painted on it. the hardwood floors gleaming..and the sun shining in. Thanks for the memory.
A woman after my own heart! I collect linens when I find them and love to iron them as well! Crochet is my favourite. Thanks for a lovely and relaxing video.
I used to collect old lines. So much work that is not appreciated now. I used to have to iron on Saturdays. My stepmother would sprinkle the clothes and put them in the freezer so the would not mold. I also used the coke bottle with the sprinkler. I would iron everything sheets and pillowcases and even my dads boxers. I do mot iron anything now. I say I have a ironing injury from my childhood. But that sound does bring me back to my childhood. Just add the smell of the spray starch ❤❤❤
I love the sound of your fingernails dragging along the doilies or table runners. That's what we call them here in, 🇦🇺Australia🇦🇺 Thanks for sharing, Lucia ❤💐
Hi Lucia...love the linens...so beautiful ...ironing delicate linens would scare me ...thank you for showing and ironing your linens . Happy Wednesday... Deborah 🇨🇦🙏❤️
I have a lot of lace, but,I was too afraid to iron them...I was afraid I was going to scorch them! It really is soothing up close to the microphone when you iron these lace pieces!
I need this! ❤ I was seriously so exhausted! Thank you, it helped me relax and sleep ♥️ Darren does the ironing. If you come and iron all my linens 😂 I’ll cook! Great relaxing video

I agree, to me is very relaxing and satisfying
I watched my mother iron dad's Air Force uniforms for years and constantly wondered how she got so close to her fingers without getting burned! 😮
My mother, may she rest in peace, used to iron my father's underwear. I learned to iron early and was ironing sheets and pillow cases when I was 9.

Ironed nursing uniforms, for nearly 30 years. ❤ I have several long crochet sweaters, that I love to wear. Always ironed nicely

Yes hello my friend
Lucia Lei thanks you guys 👍🥰
Do you like tatting? My mom always kept a set of linens in a cedar chest that she made herself.
I would put a napkin on top of, so they won’t get burn.
Happy Valentine's day 🎉❤
Are they starched as well?
