Hi Bella, your first knit cable hat is great well done you. I find knitting a lot harder and not so easy to amend, so you should be super proud and it looks fabulous on you. Wow your shawl and top is amazing, love them both. That is a fantastic blanket. I hope you are having a wonderful day xx
@@sharonsutcliffe Hi Sharon! Thank you so much! I just cast on my second attempt for my cable hat. I think I'm starting to get excited for Fall! 🍁🎃 so far, I have the ribbing done and the first row in the cable pattern. I know now why I have stitches left over because I was supposed to knit front and back to increase the hat by 5 stitches on that first transitioning row 🤦♀️😄 But I'm learning and having fun which is all that matters. How are you doing with your son away at college? Is he really far away? Or is he close enough to come home if he needs to?
@@bellascrochetedgifts hi Bella, there is a lot more to learn with knitting I think and I’m still getting confused 🤣. Your hat will be beautiful I know it 💙 He’s not gone yet, he goes a week on Sunday 😕. It a 4 hour drive so no he will be staying up there until Christmas I think. I think that’s half of my trouble with my fibromyalgia as stress can really upset it and I of course am worried whether he will cope with all the change 🤞🏻 xx
I agree with MamaG, that hat is definitely something to be proud of! I know it would seem like the pattern it difficult to see but when you had it on, I could definitely see the cable stitches! Love the way that yarn worked up too. Speaking of yarn, the shawl you made with Bridget’s hand dyed is beeeeautful and I love the way the ends curve around a bit to keep them from slipping off when you’re moving around. I think my favorite piece was your sweater!!! I want to get out my Moroccan nights yarn now that I see how lovely it really is worked up. I love the neckline and the drape, it just turned out so lovely! So many lovely makes, I’m inspired now! 💙🩵
@@katiesbeenyarnified Hi Katie! Thank you so much! I really loved how my sweater turned out! I think it would also work up beautifully with an ombre yarn 😊 I'm glad that I altered the pattern for the shawl; it's exactly what I want now! I look forward to seeing all your new makes and spins 💙
Great first attempt on the hat. I never advanced to the point of cables with my knitting capabilities. I bet your second try will be even more polished and to your liking. Keep up the good work. I'm finishing up a Halloween blanket now, then I'll be selecting a cake for my first Ross hat, so I can use that for Heather's MAL. We'll see how it goes
@@gingerfoxx1476 Hi Karen! You've got this! I started with the Ross hat and made several with stretchy yarn (feels like butta) so I never could get my stitches too tight to work with. I can't wait to see your progress! 💙
...a whole line of nothing... Guess what!!! That's what the back of the hat is going to be and no one but you will even notice!!! Take it easy on yourself, the hat (and everything else!) is beautiful. Have a great day. 🐞
Be proud of that hat. Many of us have no idea how to knit 😂 Your sweater is gorgeous. Lovely blanket.
@@mamaggear Hi Mama G! Thank you so much! At least I know that no one else will have the same hat 😂💙
