My Dad was almost this good at hitting the speed bag. He would go out to hit it and we would all gather around and watch him. Truly mesmerizing.

I don't think anyone does it with their eyes tbh. Pretty sure everyone that uses one is going off sound and rythm. Still very impressive tho.
I feel the bag is moving too fast for human reaction speed to handle, if you know the rthym ur aiming for ur much better off just listening to the rythm

@@mohamedabd8285 There's another video where he says it's not about seeing the bag but hearing it because of the after images as it moves. So it makes sense he closes his eyes and just listens to the rhythm.

It is. VERY. Even when you're first learning, and you finally get into a rhythm, you could just work that bag, making that one sound for hours.
At 67, I hit the speedbag 4x a week 15 minutes at a time but to you sir I bow!!
I just saw this video for the first time on FB a few days ago. I hadn't seen anyone work a speed bag in years let alone like this! Lol, I've watched this about 50 times and still amazed. I want a speed bag now!

Really good rhythm 👌 speed bag skills. I stop boxing and kickboxing years ago but I'm trying to get back into it. This video helped me a lot on how to get my rhythm on the speed bag.👍🥊

I could never get that backward strike and keep it running. I could run it with elbows and headbutts mixed in though. It's fun. Never saw how it could improve my boxing, but no doubt, the speed bag is a blast.
Speedbag is about improving quick movements, control, hand eye coordination and being able to keep and build momentum with your punches you'd be suprised the muscles you develope learning things like the backstrike make your reactions faster and more effective. Having quicker hands is always a massive advantage in a fight especially if they're actually controlled and not just quick jabs with no power. A lot of guys figure out through speedbag they don't actually keep their hands tight and they see it because the bags goin all over the place.
