    I love mine (Ace Pro version). The only design flaw I found so far is they should have installed the charging cable on the other side. The Mantispod is a bit short for vlogging (at least with the Ace Pro which needs more distance for a clear picture of your face). If you are filming in front of you, you have to wrap the cable around the device, which is somehow ok, but doesn‘t really make sense. Besides that: great product.

    Argghhh!!! It looks like this has the same issue that we have with our Volta. When we use the Media Mod - which is a LOT because we have wireless mics - the power cord to the GoPro isn't long enough for comfort (At least to me). Yeah, you can STRETCH the slinky cord, but it fits sideways into the media mod and it's a TIGHT fit. We have used an USB extension cable, but by that time, your GoPro is REALLY full of cables, wireless mic receiver and such. Thanks for the GREAT content, all of us really appreciate it!

      Yes, I certainly know what you mean by the stretching of the cable. It always made me a bit uneasy on the Volta and does with any other accessory where that is the case. Apparently, these cables are designed to be able to take a lot of stretch and flex unlike a conventional cable. I like to stretch them a bit before I connect them to my GoPro so they don’t put too much pressure on the USB-C port on the GoPro. The door that comes with this or the USB Pass-Thru door from GoPro do help take the pressure off the USB-C port itself when they are used. Really appreciate your feedback and support!

      @@GreatDayForAHike Thank YOU for the feedback and the info. We just might give this a try (I mean, it's only like $80, right?), as we've got a few opportunities upcoming where we will certainly need some extra battery life! Thanks again for everything you generate for us!

    Is the insta360 ace pro compatible with the iSteady pro 4?

    they missed the boat, that is, a power bank. The remote control should charge when it is attached. To the base unit. But still a nice addition

      Yes, my thought is maybe that was to extend the battery life (charge cycles) on the remote since if it is constantly charging on the unit when not in use this may weaken the internal battery on it. The fact the remote has 25 hours per charge and only takes one hour to charge is also helpful.
      One could technically charge the remote by using a USB-C to USB-C cable from the battery on the Mantispod to the remote.

    Hello friend! I have a few questions for you 1- is this praying mantis model P-GM-150? 2- can this remote control turn on the video and pause it, and then cancel the pause and continue the video? Insta 360 ace pro?

    Have you reviewed the regular Mantispod? Do you think the tripod is steady enough for ground shots?

    • @GreatDayForAHike
      @GreatDayForAHike  2 หลายเดือนก่อน

      I have not tested out the regular Mantispod but I will say this one is definitely steady enough for ground shots. It is solid and has good balance.

    That looks good, does the remote allow you to while (GoPro) recording a Timewarp switch to real time? As other third party remotes I have tried do not do that.

    • @GreatDayForAHike
      @GreatDayForAHike  2 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Unfortunately it will not allow for that. It will allow you to toggle between the Video, Photo, and Time Lapse modes on the camera as well as start and stop recording and power on/power off the GoPeo.

    can this remote compatible to dji action5?

    • @GreatDayForAHike
      @GreatDayForAHike  หลายเดือนก่อน

      Unfortunately I don't think it will pair via Bluetooth for controlling the Action 5, but you could mount the DJI Action 5 on it and use the USB-C cord to power it.

    Does Volta has larger battery capacity? 🔋🔋

    • @GreatDayForAHike
      @GreatDayForAHike  2 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Volta has 4900 mAh battery. So this has a larger battery capacity than Volta.
