Hi WaterGrunt! The Tunze light works very well below the water, because the light doesn't have to shine through the surface. I feel it actually is brighter and more spread out, it kinda reflects off the acrylic surfaces and seems to make the water "glow", unlike a conventional light that produces a lot of shimmer and reflection on the ceiling. I like the look and so does the refugium.
How do you like that gate valve ? Smooth operation? I’m buying the same sump color combo and doing the red/white also . King brothers valves are the only ones I️ found that make that one in the red/white , but heard they are hard to turn and leak prematurely.
cichlid guru nyc hi... yes I think this overflow would work actually better on a larger aquarium, mine is very small only 60 liters or 15 gal so I have the flow really choked down. Honestly the loudest part is the return pump, but sines it is a cabinet in the sump the loudest thing I hear is the cooling fan on the light.
Smart placement trickle into skimmer. Great setup. Gonna do this on a 90p but peninsula style.
good on the Tunze only brand i use for water circulation and skimming
Great vid!!!!! What glue did you use for your pvc?
Love the setup...just seems like overkill for a 16 gal tank.
Hey does using 90s and horizontal lines cause any issues
very nice setup!! subbed
Nice setup! I didn't know they made a light that can go in the water. How does that effect the spread of the light?

R&J REEFS yes the Gate valve works great, because my aquarium is so small it is an absolute must because I can set the flow rate so precisely
Nice video buddy .do you reccomend this overflow for 75g tank .I want something silent.subbed
