Pairing the Qolsys IQ Remote With a Qolsys IQ Panel 2

- In this video, Jorge shows users how to pair the Qolsys IQ Remote with a Qolsys IQ Panel 2 System. The IQ Remote serves as the secondary keypad for the IQ Panel 2. It pairs with the system across a WIFI network. This allows it to be used with the standard IQ Panel 2 and all IQ Panel 2 Plus versions.
Adding a secondary keypad to an IQ Panel 2 is a great option for larger locations and complexes. This way, you can control your system from multiple locations. If you have different spots where you enter and leave your home, you can have a keypad at each location for your convenience. By doing this you can have a keypad ready whether you leave from your front door, garage door or basement entrance. Up to three IQ Remote devices can be paired with a single IQ Panel 2 System, for a total of four on-site access points. Please note that the IQ Panel 2 must be running firmware version 2.1.0 or higher to support the IQ Remote.
The IQ Remote lets you perform most basic system functions, including arming, disarming and bypassing sensors. You can also perform automation functions, such as controlling Z-Wave devices and activating smart scenes. However, most programming will still need to be done from the the main IQ Panel 2 System. This includes adding new sensors, configuring Z-Wave devices, adding and deleting user codes and changing system settings. Really, the IQ Remote is only for performing daily system functions and actions. It is not for adjusting or configuring system settings.
Please note that another way to quickly control an IQ Panel 2 System is through the Alarm.com Mobile App on Android and iOS devices. This application will let you operate your IQ Panel 2 System from virtually anywhere in the world. Through the app, you can arm and disarm, check system status and perform smart home automation functions.

How do I trigger the secondary panel? I just need to send the signal to the monitoring station for it.
Hi Shehab, the IQ remote acts like a secondary interface for your Main IQ panel, it will not report alarms or trigger an alarm itself (Except for sending a panic trigger). Alarm signalling is handled by the IQ panel when an alarm occurs. So, there are no signals that need to be triggered from the IQ remote unless you want to test your panic keys to make sure the main IQ Panel responds properly to your panic trigger. Once paired to your IQ Remote, you should be able to control your main IQ Panel.

It does not, If you need range with the IQ4 and IQ2+ use Power G devices

Does this qolsys iq remote streams the videos cameras and doorbell camera as well?
Once updated to version 2.4.0 you have an option, assuming you have cameras, to stream video to the IQ Remote. We tested this with cameras, I assume the feature also works with the ADC Skybell Doorbell camera, but have not tested it. @@AlarmGrid Is it possible to not stream all your cameras on your iq remote? I ONLY WANT ONE CAMERA TO BE SHOWN. When i stream to panel all the cameras go staright over to the remote when it is paired. How Can i limit access on the iq remote?
My panel 2 randomly beeps (same sound made when you plug in the power cord) any ideas? Even had tech come out and couldn't resolve it
This sounds like it could be a power issue. Do you know if the technician checked the power cable and the outlet? Did this occur while the technician was onsite so that they could see the behavior?

The IQ remote is the slowest, shittiest DELAY REACTION EVER!!! LIKE 30 SECONDS AFTER THE DOOR BEEPS AFTER I OPEN IT....AND IM STANDING RIGHT BY EACH OTHER!!!!!PLUS I have AT&T WIFI OVER 1000 WHICH IS PRETTY FAST WIFI...THE REMOTE TAKES ABOUT 30 SECONDS DELAY OR SOMETIMES IT DOES RESPOND AT ALL.AND THE 2 DEVICES ARE SIDE BY SIDE!!!...AND IT LOSES CONNECTION!! WTF???!!! THE 2 DONT SYNC WELL AT ALL!!! PLEASE TELL ME THERE IS ANOTHER BETTER DEVICE I CAN HOOK IQ PANEL2 WITH!!
We're sorry you're having issues with the IQ Remote. Have you verified that your panel is on the latest firmware release? If there are any updates for the IQ Remote, they will come from the panel once it's been updated. There are quite a few IQ Remote related updates in 2.5.0, including WIFI improvements.
