Where I grew up in nw Missouri, Santa would show up to the annual tree lighting and community party on the front of an antique fire truck. Now it can be very cold here in December, in fact it usually is. Thank goodness most of the festivities are in the old courthouse.
We have Santa riding around in a fire truck here as well. The first year in my old apartment his trip around town triggered an anxiety attack because I kept hearing this siren *all* *bloody* *day* and it kept getting *closer*. When I saw it was just Santa I wasn’t amused. Where I grew up, there were big tracts of land between housing developments, so they didn’t run the siren all the time - only in the approach to the development.
That is so funny about Santa on the firetruck! I work for a small town here in Texas that has Santa arrive on the Town's firetruck when we're lighting our "Christmas Tree." In the few days before the tree lighting, Santa rides in a police car all around town and waves to everyone that comes out to see him.
We love Santa visiting on the fire truck. Kids were sad when we moved last year as our old neighbour was part of the crew on one of the trucks that came around every year so they often got extra lollies as they stopped to grab cold drinks, let the fires have a quick pit stop if needed etc.

Your new neighbours need to step it up haha 🚒 I live really close to Brisbane City these days and it doesn't seem to be as much of a 'thing' as it was in the town where I grew up but I think of Santa on his fire truck every year. I like you bojo even though I couldn't do this. Bojo I do plan but just straight up , but If I had a notebook like this I would only use it only for December
Lovely video thank you! You could outline the white marker in black fineliner to make the writing stand out more. Maybe unnecessary this time, but if you like white text on a busy background a black line surrounding the white is how you can make it readable. Again, thanks! Cheers 😊
@@ErinSmith You're very kind. But I couldn't take any acclaim. It is a graphic design technique used to make lettering stand out. If black on white is too harsh for your project you can choose the darkest or most saturated color in the background to help the lettering pop. I hope this helps! Cheers!
@@ErinSmith I'm from Victoria and it hasn't even come close to warming up yet. I used to love summer and the heat but it's too much for this old duck nowadays, mid to high 20's is all I can handle these days 😁

It worked really well to be able to customize pages for what was happening each month. (Eg Tracking a quarantine, listing gifts to take home, etc) but I’ve wondered if I’ll continue with the bujo in the new year. I’ll follow your videos for ideas and see how it goes. Your style is approachable and doable. 💜
