I built one of these my freshman year of highschool and it’s a blast! It’s a piece of junk tbh, but it runs and it’s better than nothing. Your vids on the trikes are great and they’re giving me a lot of ideas to make mine better. Keep up the great work guys!
@@cordcd7 stuff is a lot cheaper in America. An old Chinese kids quad bike that doesn't run (and isn't worth repairing) will have $150 on it. We can get stationary 6.5hp engines for $200 but karting is really only about racing so getting cheap parts is hard as they are all race spec. We don't have the mini bikes or karts they do. I looked at some for my kids and you're looking at $400 new for a Chinese 50cc quad, and $800 for a 6.5hp kart. Anything second hand will be $200 whether it has an engine or not.
@@1one3_Racing Good point, I obviously take for granted the numerous old lawn mowers etc. I see on craiglist or similar around me for free. And in my area of the US, stuff is less likely to be free and if it is, it's usually 90-110% broken.
I agree, $400 isn't cheap. Gotta check Craigslist regularly. Cheap stuff doesn't last long on their, but if you look ever couple hours you'll get lucky eventually. But you have to be a decent mechanic bc most stuff you get cheap won't run. I got a broken pressure washer for $35, and it had a Predator 6.5hp type engine that ran. Found a gokart chassis for$25(although most are over$200 on clist). I got a 50cc scooter for $50, fixed it up for less than$10, and just sold it for $330. I had days of labor into it though. But as long as you can work on stuff, you'll eventually score.

Love the drifter cart. Please don't straight pipe the 370Z! 1. Probably won't have enough back pressure and loose power. 2. Sound terrible 3. There are PLENTY of great aftermarket exhaust systems for that car IMO

Maybe flip those bars over now you have the front end st the correct location. I think it will give you a little more control in steering, and get the bars a little further from your knees!

When I was younger I built and slid gravity drift trikes downhills, it was so much fun, sliding tandem with some buddies. I got a bunch of videos from it on my channel. also did the motor drift trike thing, but I upgraded to 4 wheel slides :D

I've been building one on the side for like six months it's almost done and I've spent 60 bucks on parts so far! Everything has been found or a gift btw a four-wheeler rear end welds right to the crank area of the bike
Newer cars arent going to become rare collector cars. All of the technology in these new vehicles pretty much means at some point down the roas therw wont be updates and the shit wont work making the car a worthless piece of scrap just like old computers

Super bad ass, I’ve found that by putting feet up on spindles on front tire allows better control, also a 5 gallon bucket makes a great sleeve for rear tires. We ride em on grass and they will last a few hrs of hard abuse.
I got a story for you my brothers go kart is a Manco avenger with a Subaru 6.5 robin overhead cam engine that is straight piped and I broke the chain so I decided to rev the engine the thing shot flames like it got 2 step and anti lag your 420 flame thrower got nothing on the straight piped subi

im suggesting you flip the handlebars back facing normal as you have more room and you added rake it will handle and stop better nice quick rebuild guys!
If you're a good welder, it doesnt matter if its a gas or flux core welder. I weld thin wall bicycle tubing with my flux core welder and 0.30 wire all the time. I even fill rather large gaps all the time and have never had a weld break in 20 years of welding. Just have to use gussets where needed and over build the joints for extra strength. The main down side of flux is all the damn splatter which is a pain to clean up. Gas is definitely better, but not necessary.
i know im stupid late but you should totally make some sorta "hydro" ebrake and it could help extend the lengths/angle of your drifts and you could actually start to drag them out a little longer and link some turns
I’ve wanted to build one for years and about a month or two ago I ended up building one from parts from a three wheeler I built, a bike frame and futon bed frame and now I’m building a dirt bike from a old motorcycle frame
You can build one out of a mini bike or pit bike too. You only need the rear setup kit from go power sport Or a old go cart. That is what I have done on many drift trikes. Look up MrJ666c and you’ll see some of them there. Cheap and fun
Flip the handle bar around facing forward to give yourself more clearance. Also ad foot pegs from the frame...this will make it so your not hanging your feet out when you get alot of angle
You might want to flip the headset, or stem, on the handlebars, so they're farther away, giving you better control as well as comfort. The 360's Ike was pulling were impressive.

Now that you cut down the frame it may make sense to flip the stem back forward and angle the bars back towards you. It would give you more arm room.

There is no way to make a VQ sound good. Leave it stock, or put MORE mufflers in it.

I got a 6 horse subi on one of my karts. Even with stock muffler it's shot a foot long flam out of it.

I recomend putting some straight drag bar style bars or low rise dirt bike bars. I have them on my drift trike. Makes it more controllable.
