Vedanta should be learned under the guidence of a traditional teacher. One should not study the shastra from book by oneself. It will cause confusion and misunderstanding.

I have a question. You said in the video that brahman and maya are not two separate entities but actually one. You also gave the example of Projector and Reel, and said that the projector (brahman) shines through the reel of maya. But in my humble opinion, the projector has a separate existence and the reel too has a separate existence, isn't it? ... I mean, the projector can throw light from its end, even without the aid of the reel. Same way, the reel too can exist independently or separately when removed from the proximity of the projector. Since these two (projector and reel) have their own independent existences, is it any good to explain brahman and maya using their help? Thank you.
We are using example from vyavahara jagat, transactional reality.
So example will hv its limitation.
But its Brahman's maya shakti which 1st veils the truth and then project it differently.
Another common example we take is,
Pot is actually clay. Pot is just naam Rupa, names and form.
So pot perse has no existence w/o clay. But what we don't see is clay which is manifested as pot.
Where as clay is the reality. Pot is mithya.
In vyavahara, u call it pot, but in reality it's clay

Maya = that which is not.
Maya is Ishwara's शक्ति, also known as avidya.
As long as Brahman exist, possibility of non undstanding of Brahman exist in Brahman itself..

In vyavahāra i.e. superficially individual jīvas and jīva and īshvara exhibit dvaita. Dvaita is the most apparent and obvious state of being. Therefore, expressing that atman are one, and that ultimately even atman and brahman are not different requires negation of this illusion of dvaita-ness. Hence Advaita.
Aavrn Shakti or vikchhep Shakti ka concept ramanandacharya ke phylosphy ka hissa hai.

Your learning seems to be influenced by Maya.
Is Maya same for each person ? Does any other person or the objects exist because of someone else's avidya or it is just my Maya? Is my Maya same as your Maya or Is there is a common Maya ?
If a person dies and is enlightened at the same time. His Maya ends but the generic maya lives on ? Who lives on and who is realised in this case ?
It's not individual maya.
It's Ishwara's shakti mool avidya, the root of all avidya.
Because of this trigunatmika maya whole world manifests
When one gains knowledge he is free from maya
@@VedantaGuruji Thank you Guruji. I have few more questions. If a person is enlightened he is free from Maya. Who is he in this case. Is he Brahman or an individual human personality?
When you say a person is free from Maya, does he realize that he is not an individual but Brahman ? How does the Maya exist for him still ? Shouldn't the Maya disappear and along with that his form, identity the world etc like when one dies.
If a person's reality is Brahman and if that is realized shouldn't the Brahman's avidya is rid off the the whole Maya collapses ?
What exactly happens during individual's enlightenment and why the Maya for everyone else carries on ?
Realisation of one is like a dreamer waking up. What happens to his dream world.? What happens to a dreamer?
What happens to other people in his dream?
Sir if we take birth and then die and usually it is said that it's a circle and to break it..... we have to do bhakti.Right.
What's the right way of doing bhakti in grahsth ashram?
No.
It's not bhakti to break the cycle. But it's the knowledge. Because ignorance is the cause.
Bhakti is needed even to get knowledge from a teacher.

@@VedantaGuruji sir with due respect I am not at all arguing or counter acting ,because I agree that I am ajnani and try to know the truth even we can say there is nothing to know we only forgot the real truth about ourselve as mentioned in yoga sutras .And about 2+2=5 ,the Mathematica is only a tool to define natural phenomena ,this maths is ok for vyavaharika but fails in explain nature so later equation come like 2x+2y=5 ,now to failing to bind the nature in modern mathematics like Einstein theory ,topology etc the process is going on but failing .I am extremely sorry if I hurt by any means ,only by realisation one may know the truth but who has to know ?
1st get the knowledge, go to near by traditional teacher offline or online.
Attend the regular session, systematically. Ask Questions if you don't understand before making any sweeping statement.

From पारमार्थिक point of view, there is only Brahman.
From व्यावहारिक point of view see duality.
Brahman is as its para prakrati
Brahman as जगत, jiva, सृष्टि, its apara prakrati.
Like for example,
U are u as jiva, the individual. That is ur reality in this example, but u are also a son, a student, a brother, a friend, a citizen etc. But all these are ur different manifestation, roles.

I guess what I am saying Guru ji is that brahman is never born and never dies. Only individual body dies. And it is individual body which has ego and mind and any concept of soul/jiva. What my body and mind right now is due to genetics, upbringing/nuture, and so.e desires of others mind-body systems that are not here anymore in which ever way god wanted.

There are various levels, to unfold. To understand vedanta we really need that shraddha and commitment and consistent effort

So have patience and go step by step. One should never jump to any conclusion.

I agree Guru ji. For last 4 years I am constantly thinking about this and self examining and trying to learn. But different people give different answers. The view I have right now is built off of hours of thinking. But to explain it I would need to write a few pages. Maybe if its ok I can email you and when you have time I can discuss.

आप खुद ही confused हैं ! सत रज तम जब माया के गुण हैं तो माया का अस्तित्व सिद्ध हुआ इस लिए मूलभूत द्रव्य तीन सिद्ध होते हैं, आत्मा ,परमात्मा और प्रकृति , सत को तो हम परमात्मा मे मिला सकते हैं किंतु तम व रज को परमात्मा का हिस्सा कहें तो परमात्मा मे दोष आ जाएगा क्योकि तम ही जड़ है, न वह आत्मा है न परमात्मा !इससे प्रकृति भी अनादि सिद्ध हुई!!
आत्मा यानी परमात्मा तो इन तीनों गुणों से परे हैं। और सांख्य दर्शन के अनुसार तो भगवान ने सृष्टि बनाई ही नहीं है क्योंकि भगवान को ये दुनिया बनाने की कोई जरूरत ही नहीं है।

Your explanation of Advaitha has full if dvaita in it, in step 2 it’s mentioned “as long as brahman exists “ the word as long as represents time and brahman is beyond time brahman can’t be “as long as” because brahman is the only that exists, “as long as brahman exists” also raises the question what after brahman ceases to exist hope u understand this question is wrong and also ur explanation.
Next in example of film and projector the light is mentioned as brahman how can a light be compared to brahman as light keeps constantly changing brahman never changes the screen is always compared to brahman this is common example and please refer good source regarding this example
Next in clay and pot example it’s mentioned “not to understand clay as clay is present in clay only” its like telling not to understand brahman as brahman is present in brahman only but unfortunately ur giving complete explanation for maya so not to understand clay as clay is not in clay but it’s in maya
Tamas gives dravya shakti it would be really good if a source for this is mentioned
It would be better if you understand the difference between anandamaya kosha and brahmananda please mention the reference which says ananda of brahman exhibits tamas shakti dont u think u need to understand properly before making video and adding ‘um’ to each word doesn’t make u expert in Sanskrit as there are no words like that

In the example of film and screen and light, yes I chose to say light as Brahman. Because screen may be there or not like in virtual reality, but no projection is possible w/o light.
Light is subtler than screen, more pervasive.
Also, this is not traditional example.
And I will firmly maintain the same.
You may think again and try to come out of preconceived, set ideas.

And yes non understanding of clay as clay, this potential is there only in Brahman. Because Brahman alone exists. And that non understanding is mool avidya, maya.
Non understanding of something which doesn't exist, is not possible. And existence of maya is dependent on Brahman not independant.
Ofcourse anandmaya kosha is not brahmanad.
Anandmaya is the known experience, brahmanad is not known.
So principle of knowledge is we move from the known to the unknown.
One cannot teach unknown from unknown.
