J.J. our Jack Russell Terrier patiently waiting for "momma" to get home. Then it's a race up the driveway to catch her. After which he knows it's dinner time!

They are amazing. My baby passed after 15 plus years and my heart is so empty still after 8 months without him. Rocky was my rock. I am handicapped and he was the best dog for me. Even as much energy as he had in the beginning, as he slowed down along with me, he slowed down for me and always was as loyal to me and I was as loyal to him. Best in the world.

Mine passed away 2 weeks ago. He got hit sadly and i miss him every day. They are amazing dogs.
my little girl is gone now 5 years now. she lived to 21. I am getting older and sometimes forget how much joy she brought our family but videos like this remind me of all the good times! Thank You for sharing the good nature of your Jack (also known now I understand as the Parson Russel terrier)

Recently just put down to Jack Russells. One was twenty one and one was 18. It seems so lonely in the house after they passed. So adopted two new ones from Cape Cod. 6 years old Ford and Sadie. Best dogs in the world so well behaved. They were born on my wife's birthday. Little buggers
They are very attentive to their owners and are filled with boundless energy.

I just lost my JRT Jack also...I pray he is happy and safe wherever his journey is taking him. The bond with these dogs is hard to release..don’t know how to let him go❤️
@@forestbathing4443 I'm so sorry for your loss and I know how much your are hurting. It will be a year, soon, that I lost my JRT on July 2nd. My heart just aches for her so much and nothing will ever fill that void. I hope you can find peace knowing your JRT is running free and happy now.

I have always said that if humans would learn like dogs love, this earth would be beautiful and trouble free. I have Jacks and have had many. Their love is deeper than most dogs. Maybe because they are loved back so much.

This is so adorable. I miss my boy very much. He passed away last week . He waz 1 year old and we didn't have him long. I miss him so badly, it's still not right with out him.

First bit reminded me of my cat lol. He came downstairs once about ten minutes before my Mum came home and just sat motionless in the middle of the floor staring at the window for the full ten minutes, didn't move a muscle. it's like he could sense she was coming home.
But I'll take a Jack Russell over a cat any day.
My jack Russell terrier does this to me, I can’t wait to get her a sis or or bro soon (she’s 2 and a half) and is very fast she loves to play and run all day I love her so much

I had 2 Jack Russells that 15 minutes before I got home from work would park themselves by the front door. The strange thing is, I worked 3 shifts and within 2 days of a shift change they had worked it out. Still can't work out how they used to do it.
My little JRT would be busy trying to hide the evidence....

That's so sweet but kinda sad that he just not happy till mom come home. that's like my Russell he wait for dan to come home. breaks my heart cause she not happy till hes hm.
He loves running up the drive to meet mom. I actually sit next to him until mom is all the way up the drive then tell him 'go get her' and he runs balls to the wall up the drive to get her.

Hopefully they just let him run after the car for that filming. He might catch up one day when driver is distracted and run over him; happened to a friend of mine- saddest thing ever.
While it looks as if he is chasing the car, in fact the car is parked when he runs up the drive to greet mom at the car. It is just a video/movie short with a narrative created by editing.

@Lawrence - the same as any other puppy - be consistent - every time at these poi rd to build a pattern they understand - AS SOON AS THEY WAKE UP FROM OVERNIGHT SLEEP TO NAPS - AFTER THEY EAT - AFTER ANY PLAY SESSION - BEFORE A CAR RIDE - AFTER A CAR RIDE - then give excited verbal praise after potty and even a small treat - your puppy wants to please you so if you develop the pattern and positive reinforcement any task is trainable - be patient and consistent - good luck
Stephanie Knaus Agree. Having a routine and rewarding good behavior is key. Our Jack-Chi virtually house-trained herself. And we had a Jack-Beagle we got as a pup, raised as an outside dog and never house trained. When her Golden companion died, we felt sorry for her and let her be an inside dog. Zero accidents. We'd let her and the Jack-Chi out at the same time, and they pottied outside together. Best dogs we've had.

Why do idiots still cut the tail?
Tail was already cut when we got him, not a choice at our end. The wagging tail wipes out everything on your coffee table and much more. I don't know why they did it traditionally.

Great suggestions and improvements, what have you done about the poor anchorage of the seats? Mine never stay in place and end up sliding forward.
I removed the seat bottoms from the back support and only use back support.

Lawrence Cassaries the same way you potty train any other dog. Patience and schedules.
I take mine out, max every 2 hours. When I first got him, I took him out every hour. Now we have a bell system so he tells me when he wants to go out to potty. It's patience and strict schedule, then start adding variety when they start to get it. I was ecstatic when he rang the bell to go outside and went #1 and #2 for the first time! It's a lot of work but when it happens, you feel silly for being so excited. Good luck, mate!
My Holly was easy took her outside when she went to the back door let her go and gave her lots of praise inside i used a potty pad i put a little of her sent or pee if i can say that on the paper for nite their very smart and want to please show them and praise them they will tell you when and what to do eventually. Lol lovem and have fun
Lawrence Cassaries I'm fortunate enough to be able to live in the country. Built a doggie door that leads to the back of the property, all fenced in to keep predators and my dogs at bay. Before that when I was living in an apartment, 3 to 4 hours after drinking water, they'll need to relieve themselves, just like us humans. Dogs in general are able to hold it more so than us. Watch your dog, their actions usually can tip off when its time for potty, like if they pace back and forth in front of you, and looking at you the whole time. Hope this helps.
I trained my jrt to "dip" to command. Long car journeys were never a problem after that . Mind you it took a lot of patience but after she understood she performed every time.
