The cello handles the tenor clef rather comfortably, meaning it is a instrument with similar range to the human voice reciting song lyrics. You can use the cello to express your voice even if you're in no condition to sing. Thus, a fitting choice.

Ms. Ortega is the reason that entire scene of her playing the Cello works at all. ❤

What a fantastically successful songwriting team Jagger and Richards are. Was it fate or luck or just the way things go when they met again on the train station platform that fine day?
A brilliant rendition of Paint it Black - maybe better than the original, but then I was a Moody Blues and Nice fan, so blending classic instruments in has always appealed to me.
I wonder how many times they had to pause the dancing cause Jenna started laughing! Amazing how she kept the unemotional look but expressed such emotion through the dance.
This is a lovely heartwarming inspiring homage, sadly reflective of the cynicism of our age, though in the same moment also reflective of the potential for limitless beauty and flight from it. The fact is that our cosmology has expanded at an incomprehensible rate since I was watching Wednesday back in the day . Us old "amateurs' have a great deal to learn from you young truth seekers. Thanks for making my day tripping across this, there's a bit of Wednesday in all of us, let her fly.
Months before Wednesday was released, I became obsessed with Paint It Black. It's such a mature, wizened song from those Young Englishmen, back in the day. Apparently Tim Burton resonated with it too! It seems to have won the hearts of Cellists all over the world! I imagine the cello is being sought out by many budding musicians because Wednesday Addams shined her black light on it and made it cool.
Okay, she needs to have a playoff with 2Cellos (They could play the evil rivals) and she could just kick their butts. What a great moment in the series.
I watch the first season twice. I love it when she shows a little bit of emotion or facial expressions I know the original character never did, but back then she was a secondary character. And since she rarely dose it means so much more when it happens.

While the original played up the campy humor and this one goes for the dark humor, the characters still feel the same... and she absolutely nails Wednesday's dark mood. She delivers everything so utterly straight I have no idea how she's not cracking herself up half the time.
Yep!
Yeah. The writers outdid themselves with her lines. And she delivered them flawlessly.
Evan Peters and Jenna Ortega are this years MVPs in acting. His performance as Jeffrey Dahmer and her performance as Wednesday Addams were amazing.
Where Evan Peters ?
@@bibhashkundu9432 I think he was speaking of acting in general.
Fun fact: their characters would bond well
Absolutely
Other than the casting for Gomez, Wednesday was AWESOME!!! She nailed Wednesday to a W.
AWESOME 😍 Watching the season for the third time now. I am so amazed. Thanks to Janna and Tim ans all the others from the cast.
everyone talking about the dance, but that Paint it black is just awesome and I fell in love w/ this version
This classic never gets old. It only gets better. Thank God for the Sixies and Seventies in music, live on!!!
This series got me a Wednesday goes to Hogwartz vibe❣️ It was suspenseful, well written, and above all, #fun‼️ Jenna is superb❣️
To me it feels like Harry Potter on steroids (estrogen?)
@@LucSchots 😂‼️
This mash up and the hug scene at the end I must have watched a hundred times. freaking awesome.
Jenna embodied the character of Wednesday so well, and her lines are so dark and funny
Such a loveable character. For someone who doesn't want entanglement, she does attracted quite a lot of people.
The writers who served up the dialogue in Wednesday deserves recognition and awards. I caught myself laughing and gasping at times. Show was a tour de force. Thx :)
Best arrangements since the first season of Westworld.
This show is so damn amazing !!! Ortega and Tim Burton nailed this
Absolutely stunning arrangement and delivery!!! Morbidly delicious!!
one word..... Chills...... I LOVE IT !!!
beautiful music, thanks for upload
There were 5 smirks of her in the show, each one of them perfectly discribing her otherwise surpressed emotions now comming out in delight in the face of misery and mayhem.
Those and this piece of music are my favorit aspects about this show.
She is amazing for this role. People of all ages can enjoy this show due to the Easter eggs hidden in plain sight. Look forward to season 2.
I’m surprised that the left hasn’t found anything wrong with it, but don’t be surprised if they do!! They might think it’s making fun of people that lost a limb!!😂😂
My favorite thing about this is that it looks like she’s actually playing. I always cringe at scenes where actors pretend to play, as it is nearly always awful. And reading the comments it sounds like Ms. Ortega learned to play the cello just for this role. That is awesome! Excellent work! Ms. Ortega is the reason that entire scene of her playing the Cello works at all. ❤
She did in fact learn to play it. She started learning two months before they started filming and continued to practice after set everyday!!!!
So artistic, creative, the whole scene here, the music, her moves, looks. Artistic is the only word to describe. Tim Burton!
Jenna is absolutely beautiful! This role was made for her! ❤
I was contemplating whether or not to watch the series, but this made me want to dive in!
I have goosebumps hearing this masterpiece!
Man I rewind that part several times.
In case you didn't know them yet, check out 2CELLOS on this site
That dance is weird and beautiful at the same time🥰
would say creepy and beautiful myself, just perfect.
A brilliant blend of Ortega and Elfman…. I loved this sooo much
And Jagger and Richards
Pleasantly surprised - this show was so well done. Well written, directed, shot, cast and acted.
Well, it is Tim Burton and Danny Elfman. I expected it to be great and, of course, it is.
Yes
The fact that she plays her own cello in this, and learned enough cello to play in every scene she needs to, is kinda awesome. Very dedicated.
I can only imagine the dance monsters that will be born across the world because of this series. :P
first i heard this i loved it. found out recently it was paint it black and honestly it was done so well i didnt notice. the similarities are so subtlemaking this a true minimal rendition. bravo.
Jenna Ortega actually played the Cello herself. That’s kinda cool.
That's AMAZING is what that is
She took enough lessons to make it look good. She's faking it so a real cellist can make it sound good.
She did to make it look authentic but she's not really playing. Still, apparently, she choreographed this dance herself. Talented kid.
@@WhiskyCardinalWes Even this requires significant dedication and effort. Of course it's right to acknowledge that she's not playing the music we're hearing - but kudos to the actor all the same.
😮😮😮😮
I have always been an Addams family fan.... This is a great new series. And Wednesday is amazing love her black humour ...fan of Tim Burton aswell
The cello scenes were wonderful
Paint it black was sooooo good nothing else matters always sends as tingle down my spine.
Hope there will be another series.
I didn't think we'd find a replacement for Travolta/Thurman dance from Pulp Fiction, but here we are...
That scene and this feel so much the same!
I’ve watched the first series of Wednesday and eagerly waiting for the next. This girl has something about her that is so fresh and I think she is a great actress.
I was super impressed with this scene. I love the music here
What a fantastically successful songwriting team Jagger and Richards are. Was it fate or luck or just the way things go when they met again on the train station platform that fine day?
Awesome version
The song and the dance match up quite well with each other at a lot of parts
The most definitive "Why didn't I see that coming?" moment was when Thing turned the page on her sheet music.
A remarkable piece of cinematography. Well done!
What a great arrangement of the Stones classic.
A brilliant rendition of Paint it Black - maybe better than the original, but then I was a Moody Blues and Nice fan, so blending classic instruments in has always appealed to me.
When a star is on screen you cannot take your eyes off them. Jenny Ortega is a star.
Love this bit of music. Cello has always had this natural character and the perfect range.
I wonder how many times they had to pause the dancing cause Jenna started laughing! Amazing how she kept the unemotional look but expressed such emotion through the dance.
Well she did choreograph and make up the dance herself so
It was said the had Covid during the time of filming
That’s dedication
…just loved this …and Man!…who is the artist playing on those strings ..❤
This is a lovely heartwarming inspiring homage, sadly reflective of the cynicism of our age, though in the same moment also reflective of the potential for limitless beauty and flight from it. The fact is that our cosmology has expanded at an incomprehensible rate since I was watching Wednesday back in the day . Us old "amateurs' have a great deal to learn from you young truth seekers. Thanks for making my day tripping across this, there's a bit of Wednesday in all of us, let her fly.
They did a really good job with this series
Months before Wednesday was released, I became obsessed with Paint It Black. It's such a mature, wizened song from those Young Englishmen, back in the day. Apparently Tim Burton resonated with it too! It seems to have won the hearts of Cellists all over the world! I imagine the cello is being sought out by many budding musicians because Wednesday Addams shined her black light on it and made it cool.
As a violist who knows somewhat how to play the cello, this is pretty good.
Okay, she needs to have a playoff with 2Cellos (They could play the evil rivals) and she could just kick their butts. What a great moment in the series.
I absolutely loved this.
I absolutely loved this in the series.
I love this song being played like this!!!
Cool video. Like the music choice and editing. Keep up the "Bad" work.
I like this version of one of my favorite songs.🖤
Time to watch Season 1 again. Wonderful show. Wednesday is the embodiment of freedom.
disturbingly beautiful.
I watch the first season twice. I love it when she shows a little bit of emotion or facial expressions I know the original character never did, but back then she was a secondary character. And since she rarely dose it means so much more when it happens.
Have you ever heard something so beautiful it made you cry?
Who arranged this music? It sounds much like Hans Zimmer's POTC score. I love the feeling it evokes, even with the Wednesday visual motif turned off.
Haven't seen the series yet, but this looks and sounds really cool
