EDIT: It worked - I can not thank you enough man 😀 not only did it fix my 7 year old HDD i also fixed my 10 year old drive man I missed those pictures lol. My HDD just stopped working & my desktop pc won't detect it - I will try this in a few hours once I buy that erazer you advise and will update as all comments are saying this process works. My HDD is over 7 yrs old & SUPER dusty just on the outside so can't wait to see the inside lol. Thanks so much for this video man will update soon
Hello. No matter which usb storage I connect to my computer, I get a message (It's an error) And win11 gives you the option to scan and fix the problem. The problem is that this also happens with newly formatted external USB 2 hard drives. Also usb2 memory pen. Always when windows tries to scan and repair the disk, CMD (scandisk /f e:) it always says at the end that it failed and could not repair. during this process things on the disk were deleted and other things were done. Some of the content is now more damaged than before! On a usb hdd disk, I formatted with full format and afterwards I did a full sector scan without any errors. After copying a few files, win 11 started complaining. Why? One of the explanations is that it is windows. I have experienced this with 4 USB HDDs and several USB sticks
So my heads are broken so this probably wouldn't work but I don't have the money to have someone repair it right now. If I store it away safe, does there come a point where you end up losing more data?
