  • Smart Cars (451) have unique service procedures and changing engine oil is no different. Failure to use the method I cover in this video could result in contaminating your fresh oil change.

    I got the pneumatic fluid extractor I hook up to the air compressor off of Harbor Freight, all that hand 🤚 pump thing 🥴👀🤔

    i have looked everywhere (3 hardware stores) for a metal pipe skinny enough to fit. where did you get yours?

      I used 1/4 inch soft copper tubing. It comes on a roll and it is easily straightened to go into the dipstick opening.

      @@Arizonaperfect ok that is very helpful to know, thank you. I did see a roll of this at Menards and wondered if it would straighten out. i’ll be sure to buy that now.

    It doesn't work for Smart 453 unfortunately..

    Great... now I have to get one of these.. LOL
    How long is that copper pipe and what width ?
    UPDATE: Got a pump by Amazon, with a copper pipe. And a filter (Blueprint) and oil.
