Chan wants to get a whole sleeve done. He wants tattoos so badly. Han has three himself on his chest.
This was my first Skz song 😂 also still my favorite. Chan and Hyunjin wrote and produced it together.

Bangchan has said on a live stream before that Red Lights message in the song is based on how both he and Hyunjin are kind of compulsive people but that he especially feels like he needs to be busy all the time. The music video bangchan said him and hyunjin just made it dark and sexy lol... he hasnt really said why they made the mv this way but talking to bangchan personally on a fan app called Bubble i can say i am not suprised lol he likes to flirt with us... But like any song out there the song can be a different meaning to a person out there. There is alot of different messages what the song means from everyone and thats what is beautiful about music because each song can be a different meaning to someone in the world.

SKZ love to put multiple interpretations into songs. "Gangbak" - the Korean name of the song, means obsession/compulsion & they wrote it during their Howl in Harmony series so we actually got to see them come up with it. The core of the idea was the relationship with their art, that idea of practicing all night and seeing your exhausted reflection, but still going an hour more because you cannot stop. It's seductive but painful sometimes. But they also said they wanted a double meaning of it could be about a person, and to try a sexy aesthetic. Fun fact- Novvkim [famous director of this video], has done quite a lot of SKZ B side videos & also appears in the Howl in Harmony series. While Chan & Hyunjin actually came up with a lot of aspects for this video, but there was a lot of more 'sensual quality [like the being tied up with red ropes/chains/shibari-esque type knots.] & he also commented that he wanted to show Chan and Hyunjin as, like, mirrored reflections of each other. There is a very amusing moment in the behind the scenes where director Novvkim is like 'Bang Chan will now choke Hyunjin' and Chan is like 'wHat?', but when the reasoning is explained to him, he's was fully on board.
    - Chan & Hyunjin definitely had a lot of fun making this video & getting to show their full on sexy side for the first time. And now we have an OT8 version of Red Lights they perform on tour, with staging largely designed by Hyunjin. They are all chained by the neck. It was certainly an experience being on twitter the day they performed their first concert. 🖖🏼

Actually Hyunjin was like "why would he strangle/choke me?" when the choking was mentioned. Chan just said "okay" very nonchalantly! 🤣 (But remember he didn't write this song at all - just Hyunjin...suuure Chris, whatever helps you sleep at night! 🤣)

Short version their obsessed with work and the red lights are related to the recording studio and being up all night so good and Howl in Harmony series is great.

The strings during the concert were red, it's hard to see with the fancam and the lighting. There was no way the boys were going to miss out on performing this song.
Also, in concert I didn't have the SKZ light yet, so I went with my A.C.E Choistick and it had a red setting which the SKZ light does not have. So during this song, I had my red light on and at the end of the song Hyunjin pointed up at me. One of the best moments of my life.

You are hilarious. I hope to see you do more Stray Kids reactions like this. I loved watching you react to their live performance. Check out some of their other content. They are so funny and entertaining. What is your favorite genre of music?

Correct me if im wrong but i don’t think you have checked out a guide? If not, i would recommend that. Otherwise, it is always nice to watch you check out the making of videos. I have always enjoyed your professional opinion on the behind the scenes.

Thank you so much!! I really appreciate it!! Favorite Genre is tough, It used to mainly be alternative Rock because it encompasses so much Rock music! But honestly I find myself listening to Kpop A LOT these days hahahaha so would probably be split between the two!
In terms of guides, I did a little deep dive, I did react to a guide for these guys literally 2 years ago (Hard to believe I have been doing this for that long lol).
Here is the link if you are interested! I definitely need to check out more guides for more bands!

🧡 You know that since you reacted to this MVs, you should react to the other unit songs. These are totally different genre from this one. "Surfin'" by Changbin, Lee Know & Felix is a fun summer rock vibe, and "Gone Away" by Han, Seungmin & I.N is a heartbreaking ache ballad. Seeing how 3racha (Bang Chan, Changbin and Han) handle their units was really interesting. I love watching how these boys all worked together & produce great music. There even a Behind the Scene MV, showing sets and how the production was shot in the hotel.
💚 If interested, there a playlist for the full series of SKZ Song Camp: Howl in Harmony on the SKZ channel [th-cam.com/play/PL2HLJ87twWI2G7OkCCQfOI6Dr-02JBbMN.html]. 😄... We love to go to the Stayville Theater to see our "Fine Art" performers. 🖖🏼

The red thread is a symbol in Asian culture that has many meanings:
in folklore, the red thread of fate is a myth that connects soulmates through an invisible red thread attached to their ankles at birth. The thread may stretch or tangle, but it will never break, eventually bringing the two people together.
The red light is the RECORD light, according to Bang Chan, and represents his obsessive nature when it comes to his art: songwriting. And Hyunjin's obsessive nature when it comes to his art.
But as you know in Western Culture the "red light district" is where all the adult stuff happens. So it's probably a little bit of all the meanings because as you know, great art has a thousand interpretations and can mean whatever you want it to mean.

ahhh very interesting!! I like the dual meaning there!!
