This song was definitely supposed to be sexy but it’s also about Compulsion and obsessiveness. All of Stray Kids split into units and made songs in their units on a show they did on their Channel called “Howling in Harmony”. Hyunjin and Chan both said that they both get very obsessive with their work. Chan with his producing and Hyunjin with his dancing. So this song is a result of their feelings about their own obsessiveness, Chan made the Instrumental and they both wrote the lyrics.
But it could definitely have a double meaning and they definitely knew that lol.
Hyunjin wrote red lights, chan translated it to English.

I know this is late but Stay @Kyliesmith521, I agree with you, you are not wrong. We know Chan is not a "translator", he is a master lyricist himself who worked with Hyunjin to produce this masterful track. Actually from what you are trying to explain is shown in that Red Lights storyline in the series Howl in Harmony ep. 03 : th-cam.com/video/j2qXVzk2apg/w-d-xo.html Start around 15:15 onward.. watching them work together both the music & lyrics concepts out.. (it so good/satisfying while trying not be distracted about the location 🤣). Yes, the puppy dads know exactly what they were doing despite the "wasn't me" game that Chan plays 🤭. And Yes Chan may have "tone down from Hard Sexy" lines, but that's what a master does for his Padawan. 🖖🏽
Hyunjin is a beautiful creature and this song really showcases his amazing potential and talent! Stray Kids are anyways such a creative group and there is so much freedom in their performances and expressive work! They are definitely one of the top groups making Kpop exciting during these last few years imo!

They do a lot of songs that aren’t the “StrayKids sound” and post them on the SKZ Player or somewhere else on their YT. Chan has one emotional love song called ….the translation is like “Don’t want to admit”. Its one of my favorite songs of Chan’s vocals. At the beginning of the year “look forward” they mentioned the possible SKZ Player album, and each member has songs on there, so here’s hoping!

Couldn't see this mentioned already! Red Lights is not their newest song as said at the start, its from their Aug 2021 album NOEASY and the music video was released Sep 2021. Hence the hair colour is from last years look, check out more NOEASY era music videos for lots more orange hair Chan. :)

Stray kids have Verity of genres, and different sound .but you can say that their title song are more heavy and energetic song if you do not mind I like to suggest some song .

2.Mixtape (OH),mixtape on track
3. Charmer , muddy water ,waiting for us ( new album oddinary )
4. Unit song ( red light,surfin ,gone away)
5.All in ,top (japanese), blueprint, Ta,24 to 25 ,levanter ,B.ME , the view,leventer etc .
Above song are masterpieces and u see different aspect of stray kids .many people didn't fully explore stray kids discography because they have many song like 100-120 song in only 4 year.
