That marina over at North Captiva has some huge snook around it. Too bad it says "no fishing". We traded some guys on a shrimp boat, West of there, all the beer we had (about 16) for about 30 pounds of shrimp. We had to go to that marina to get some more beer. I love fishing snook. BTW - If anyone goes to the Gulf side of the islands when the shrimp boats are there; take some extra beer and talk to the guys on the boats. They are nice guys. It's well worth it.
I am thinking about names for the boat we will be getting and '"Snook" er' came to mind but, this boat will not be a 'Bay boat', it wouldn't fit. Why wife caught a snook in Costa Rica when we were coming in from me losing an, at least 48" tarpin. Even though my fight was 40 minutes long (because of their poor tackle), her 10 minute fight was priceless.
