Easily got my thumbs up! No stupid music, got to hear the actual sounds of the content, and the guy actually talks in his video and giving details on the processes.
I like the copper rivets . I could not get the domer tool to work good . Now I make hole , place rivet with washer , beat washer tight with tool , cut to about an 1/8 " and peen over . I use the small ballpeen hammer . Copper rivets is old school and looks good . They also hold better than the 2 piece or crimp overs .
Looks good. Copper and brass are definitely my favorite.. I've never seen or done myself--- leaving so much post sticking out.. all that extra hammering, gotta mar the leather!!??? I use an extremely super thin piece of leather, that goes around my rivets. When I hammer/ dome, I never leave a mark on leather..
That's a great idea and I'm glad that's worked for you. I have a pretty decent track record with good aim, I have yet to touch the leather. I say that now, but just wait ... lol.
@meirpeaph They can be a but difficult to cut. If you hold your cutters closer to end, you get more leverage. It's probably about time to sharpen the cutters as well.
