    I don't have the Nimbus 26, but I have the Nimbus 25 and the Ghost Max. Although I like the Ghost Max, and they really didn't change the Nimbus that much since the last version, I definitely think the ride of the Nimbus is a lot softer and more comfortable underfoot. The Ghost Max has a good rocker, but it starts to feel more stiff the more you start running in it. (These comments were just my honest opinion ✌️)

    • @SagasuRunning
      @SagasuRunning  6 หลายเดือนก่อน

      I agree with you and what you mentioned about the GM is why I prefer it. The Nimbus is great as a plush shoe for slow running, but that is ALL it does (besides being a great walking shoe). It’s one dimensional.
      The GM can do what the Nimbus does, 80% of the feel, but it can also do alot more. I find it a more dynamic ride that can handle more paces and more types of running. I value that in a shoe much more.
      Specialist shoes are great… but a shoe only for slow/recovery type runs is not one of there I ever am drawn too. Especially when the same brand makes two better options for that (Novablast 4 and the Superblast).

    Thank you so much..
    The ghost max is a more all round shoe as it's very good for fore foot strikers and good for heel stricker vs nimbus which is great for heel striker but average at forefoot plus it's much lighter. Think I'll go with the ghost max cause it's a 6mm drop.
    Love my Peg 40 but the 10 mm drop seems to be causing knee pain after about 5km which doesn't appear with my boston 12 which is 6.5mm.
    Now all I need is to get my hands on an all black ghost max like my peg 40 but it seems to be sold out everywhere.

    • @SagasuRunning
      @SagasuRunning  6 หลายเดือนก่อน

      The Boston 12 is a plated shoe (we rods) so no. I don’t think running full time in a plated shoe ideal. Beyond that there isn’t much overlap. The Boston 12 is a fast trainer… the Ghost Max is a shoe for all around running, mostly easier running with a little tempo work at times.

    Hi! I'm torn between the Nimbus 25, 26, Ghost Max. I don't run, but I'm looking for a walking shoes for travel. Any tips on what should I get? Thank you!

    • @SagasuRunning
      @SagasuRunning  5 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Definitely the Nimbus… it’s an excellent walking shoe. Between the 25 and 26… personally speaking I find the 25 a better looking shoe (your aesthetics may not) but you also can likely find some good deals on it in your local area. The 26 has a bit more rubber on the outsole and a little more grip but it’s completely margin for walking. Otherwise the shoes are nearly the same.

      Nimbus 25 or 26....I'd also look for the "TR" version of either shoe, which will give you an even more grippy outsole.

    • @SagasuRunning
      @SagasuRunning  6 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Asics Gel-Nimbus 26… hands down. The gel in the heel, the amount of foam and very plush upper make it a better shoe for this use case.
      Both shoes are very stable, though they achieve it in different ways. If you need a custom insole the Ghost Max would be a better option due to the last used and overall construction.

      It does, assuming you are only racing shorter distances. The Takumi Sen 9 or 10 are really meant for a 5 or 10k race...possibly a half marathon. However, the Sl2/TS10 combo is what I'll be spending most of the summer in when I'm running in Adidas. The Ghost Max is a very comfortable cruiser too...

      I haven’t run in a 1080 in YEARS…. But the Ghost Max is excellent. I know NB has made the 1080 softer and softer… the GM is a nice balance between cushion and firmness.

      @@MadLadsAnonymous On paper the Puma Velocity Nitro 3 should be ideal. I'd also put the Brooks Ghost Max there. The Nimbus 26 will be a great walker, but not fast. The Adidas Supernova Rise may be worth a look too.
      Thanks for the kind words. I have no issue making the content, especially if I have all of the shoes...it's more when I do "vs" videos I like to make sure the two shoes are in the same class. The Nimbus 26 vs the Velocity Nitro 3 makes a little sense given you could say they are both "daily trainers" but beyond that they have nothing in common. The Rebel v4 vs the Nimbus 26 is like comparing a sports car vs dumptruck, they just don't compare.

      Not according to Brooks or Running Warehouse. The regular Ghost 15 is a 23mm forefoot, though 35mm heel.
      A 22mm forefoot shoe would hardly be a "max" shoe, in fact it would be a minimalist shoe in 2024.
