Zentangle's Paradox with horizontal lines across it....brilliant! I've drawn Paradox at least 100 times, but it never occurred to me to do this. Now I have to go get busy on a new version of my favorite tangle!
Psychedelics typically added a great deal of color in order to make the b/w stand out. You could very carefully add fine lines of color right across the top or bottom of each full line, changing colors as you wish throughout. If I was going to do it that way, I'd keep my own color palette to blues, greens, and purples, not using all the other really brilliant colors such as oranges and yellows. I'd try the more toned down version---this is very easy to do in a much smaller size just to get the hang of it---and see how I liked it. But you're free to do it any way you want, obviously, and just go for it, see what you like.
