I was a RBT for three years, and considered becoming a BCBA but didn’t have the time nor funds to do it. Now I’m in my first year teaching middle school which has been stable financially speaking, but challenging to say the least. I just signed up to start Avocademy next month so I’m very excited to start a career in UX to be creative, problem solve, and get paid comfortably.

I love seeing someone who went from bcba to ui/ux too! I'm not alone !!

That's so interesting. I loved how I learned by doing, not being told. The articles made me think, and I was able to apply what I learned to my own foundations project and every kind of product I was using. With any job, there is a lot of learning by doing, not being told. I think this program was an amazing example of that. I went into CJ feeling so prepared because foundations had given me an amazing blueprint that I could build on using the critical thinking skills they helped instill during foundations.

I’m so happy I found your video!! I’m looking into what is out there in the ABA field for tech and Ux researcher was what came up for me! Thank you so much for sharing your course experience! I definitely want to look into this more and excited to follow and hear more on your journey :)

Thank you for this review! I am currently trying to transition out of ABA actually. I graduated with a Masters in Applied Behavioral Analysis but now I am trying to transition to UX research because in a way, it is sorta similar lol. Is there any way I can contact you about this?

Is it still mostly reading content? Now in 2023 - is most of the content in the program mostly video content to watch or reading content to read?

I'm interested in making a career change-would you say entry-level UX Researchers earn almost same as a BCBA?

Did you join their career jumpstart? Do you feel that you learned enough in 8 weeks to do your own projects?
